mukrow is overdue for a test ban. agreed

however, banning regenerator seems to me as if it were the equivalent of banning speed boost in OU. while we gain back blaziken, the other users of it are not any trouble and are now almost completely useless (while blacken/mienfoo itself doesn't get much better) it seems as if we are sacrificing two pokemon (slowpoke and foongus) for a third mon (mienfoo) that imo won't see much usage. i feel that without regen mienfoo wouldnt be useful enough to even consider anyway.
ban regenerator is the same as banning mienfoo because without regenerator its usefulness is near gone. the downside is that foongus and slowpoke are indirectly affected.

but its called a test ban for a reason. we can always check it out and go back

but this raises the question of a rough skin carvanah :P

Yeah, krow suspect is long overdue. I mean it nerfs ghost and psychic types(missy did that too, it hands down nerfed all other ghosts) on its own bar missy which has some of the best stats in LC(reason enough to use it no matter what) and the only psychic type that sees actual use is abra which has focus sash which gives it a niche. Also, even if you know murkrow's set you have to dance around LO murkrow and give it no chances to switch in. It's a big threat and things like restalk are easily beaten, even just forcing out chinchou a few times can let murkrow beat it(chinchou stays asleep, stealth rock and other damage racks up).

As for the regen ban, I've already mentioned it and am in full support. I think it'll work like getting rid of meinfoo but to a slightly lesser extent. Foongus will no longer be so dominant, its usage will drop and there will probably less grass types showing up in teams in general which opens things up for other types(like meinfoo and rock/normal). Also, now at least four grass types have a shot at that teamslot; oddish has better stats all around than foongus, foongus has spore, shroomish has better bulk and isnt weak to psychic, plus poison heal (if murkrow goes natu could rise in usage, shroomish can abuse magic bounce with toxic), chikorita i suppose because of its bulk and support moves(heal bell is nice because scald, while grass types resist it hurts them with burn and its damage), budew has hazards and natural cure which lets it ignore burns from chinchou and the likes, bulbasaur will have the speed to outspeed other walls and knock off as well as the kick of leaf storm as a bulky attacker or supporter(also, as i love using it, scarf). But you get the idea, some pokemon will have the stats, some the moves, some the ability. Whereas with regen foongus the defensive stats dont matter as much because regen, regen is a great ability, and foongus had spore.

Anyways, i have a feeling regen ban will add a lot to the meta, mienfoo with its utility(u turn, knock off, taunt) will still be usable but not as centralizing, or maybe a reckless HJK combo scarf set, grass types will be more diverse and so on.

    Tl;dr

I'm all for the regen ban with what it gives for the meta, fighting types will still be diverse but we will also have a utility pokemon (mienfoo has u turn, taunt, knock off) and maybe even a risky attacker (reckless ability and HJK on mienfoo) and we will have diversity in grass types, oddish has the typing of foongus but better stats, foongus has typing and spore, shroomish has poison heal(if murk is banned, natu will be more usable and shroomish can toxic it for poison heal) and no weakness to psychic, budew has hazards, bulbasaur can outspeed walls, has the kick of leaf storm and knock off as a bulky attacker. I suppose slowpoke suffers unfairly from this, but it is still the best counter to timbur because its the only thing which can wall it with +3 boosts as payback is stuck as 50 base power.

Murkrow nerfs fast and frail things, really hurts psychic and ghost types(missy gets usage because it has some of the best stats in lc, and abra has a failsafe sash, but things like natu are so much less viable now.) and he also took the place of the likes of houndour and stunky. It also hits really hard with LO and without it, it forces you to dance around it and foolproof your team against it with two or more checks. The first thing i consider when making a team is murkrow, i dont stop untill each of my mons can hit it pretty hard and doesnt give it a free switch. And when it comes to an offensive pokemon, suckerpunch is always there which makes so much unviable.

Touche, and Flash Fire Vulpix. Also, we need a Missy textban.

I like the krow+regen testban idea personally. I think we can all agree that krow is the strongest poke in LC. You never really know what kind of set its running until you've lost something trying to find out. It's just so versatile and strong basically no matter what it's running.

As for regen, I think it'll add more diversity to the meta for sure. Fighting gets back mienfoo, while taking away it ability to switch in and out a ton, thus making it far less dominating. Grass becomes more diverse because foongus won't be used the same, making things like bulbasaur, shroomish, and oddish more viable. And we'll slowpoke may suffer but he's still not bad without regen in my opinion.
