This is a team that I won 20 matches out of 24. And that thank of it my rank became higher after that I lost several matches and became a "loser". It's hyper offensive but I feel like I need something better on it, if you have any suggestions to make my team better and more powerful tell me and thanks a lot: Kyogre @ Choice Specs Trait: Drizzle EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Surf - Ice Beam - Waterfall - Thunder Kyogre, one of the best ubers in the metagame and one of my favorites. I chose specs over scarf for that I can deal more damage, so it's my main special sweeper. Surf for every Pokemon that isn't dragon-type. Waterfall because it'll be a backup if the oppenent uses Trick and gives me a Choice Band. Ice beam for Dragon (Except Dialga and Palkia) and Thunder for every other foes who are NOT Ground-type (obviously, teehee). I chose Surf over Water Spout because Water spout becomes weak if a faster Pokemon hit my precious Kyogre ;~;. Mewtwo @ Leftovers Trait: Pressure EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Psystrike - Ice Beam - Aura Sphere - Fire Blast Mewtwo, I usually use it as a special sweeper (Yes, another one). It works great with Groudon getting Fire Blast powered up. Psystrike for STAB and Blissey/Chansey, Ice Beam is for serious damage for.. *sigh* JUST READ ABOVE. Aura Sphere for Ice/Dark Pokemon. I choose Leftovers over Specs because It gives it variety : WHO THE HELL WILL NEED SPECS? Mewtwo is already powerful, hmph. Groudon @ Choice Band Trait: Drought EVs: 60 HP / 252 Atk / 68 Def / 128 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Fire Punch - Earthquake - ThunderPunch - Brick Break A lot of you now are confused: Why do I have 2 weather Pokemon?! I'll tell you why: If I meet a Pokemon that will obviously have Thunder against Kyogre I switch to Groudon to make the foe rage (A lot of oppenents forfeit after I do this. Groudon is such a special Pokemon for me, it has decent Defense and wonderful Attack, for that, Groudon is an incredible Pokemon. Earthquake for STAB and to destroy every pokemon (Except if it's Flying-Type or it has Levitate) ThunderPunch and Fire Punch for sweeping Kyogre and Ferrothorn respectively and Brick Break for Ice/Dark/Arceus. Kyurem (Kyurem-W) @ Choice Specs Trait: Turboblaze EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Dragon Pulse - Ice Beam - Fusion Flare - Psychic I don't know why do I have Kyurem-W. I rarely use it maybe because it doesn't get its chance in the battle or because of Low Kick. It's my third special sweeper: Dragon Pulse for STAB and for destroying every single Pokemon (Steel-type doesn't exist). Ice Beam for same reasons as before, Fusion Flare gets boosted due to Groudon's Drought, and Psychic is my surprise attack for Fighting Pokemon. Arceus @ Lum Berry Trait: Multitype EVs: 168 HP / 252 Atk / 88 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Recover - Shadow Claw - ExtremeSpeed - Swords Dance Arceus *angles go uhhhh*. It's my best sweeper. Lum Berry because I don't want annoying status on it. ExtremeSpeed for STAB and priority, Swords Dance for making it sweep EVERY SINGLE FOE, Recover for raising it's chances of surviving and Shadow Claw for Ghost-Pokes. Darkrai @ Leftovers Trait: Bad Dreams EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Dark Void - Dark Pulse - Psychic - Nasty Plot Finally, DARKRAI. My forth special sweeper. After I make the foe sleep, I use Nasty Plot and BOOM! Sweep, sweep, every Pokemon ~~ Dark Pulse for STAB and Psychic for Fighting-poke. Importable Spoiler Kyogre @ Choice Specs Trait: Drizzle EVs: 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Surf - Ice Beam - Waterfall - Thunder Mewtwo @ Leftovers Trait: Pressure EVs: 4 Def / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Psystrike - Ice Beam - Aura Sphere - Fire Blast Groudon @ Choice Band Trait: Drought EVs: 60 HP / 252 Atk / 68 Def / 128 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Fire Punch - Earthquake - ThunderPunch - Brick Break Kyurem (Kyurem-W) @ Choice Specs Trait: Turboblaze EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Dragon Pulse - Ice Burn - Fusion Flare - Psychic Arceus @ Lum Berry Trait: Multitype EVs: 168 HP / 252 Atk / 88 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Recover - Shadow Claw - ExtremeSpeed - Swords Dance Darkrai @ Leftovers Trait: Bad Dreams EVs: 4 HP / 252 SAtk / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Dark Void - Dark Pulse - Psychic - Nasty Plot[/HIDE]
On Kyogre change Choice Specs to Choice Scarf and Waterfall to Waterspout. Waterfall adds nothing and Waterspout is ridiculously powerful. You don't have a Scarfer and Scarf Kyogre is a really good revenge killer. Your Mewtwo seems fine You need to change your Groudon set. Banded Groudon is terribly underwhelming because he doesn't get strong enough moves. A STEALTH ROCK USER IS MANDATORY ON EVERY UBERS TEAM. That's why you should use the standard support Groudon set. Groudon @ Leftovers Trait: Drought EVs: 252 HP / 4 Atk / 252 Def Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk) - Dragon Tail/Roar - Earthquake - Stone Edge/Fire Blast/Fire Punch - Stealth Rock Your Kyurem W set makes no sense at all. Why would you run Psychic to hit Fighting types when there are only three that are commonly used in Ubers? They all get destroyed by Dragon Pulse/Draco Meteor anyway. Run this set instead. Kyurem-W @ Choice Specs Trait: Turboblaze EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk) - Draco Meteor - Dragon Pulse - Fusion Flare/Earth Power - Focus Blast You should change your Arceus to Arceus Ghost just because your team is incredibly weak to Scarf Terrakion and Scarf Genesect and he really helps against them. You could keep his set the same. On Darkrai change Psychic for Focus Blast. Without Focus Blast he's walled by the common Steel types in the tier (Ferrothorn, Arceus Steel, and Forretress). This rate is pretty short and I'm sure I missed something but I hope this helped.
Use Arcues Ghost over Arceus. Judgement, Will-O-Wisp, Focus Blast, Recover - EV it how you feel necessary. Then, make Groudon SR / EQ / Dragon Tail / Stone Edge, with an offensive spread, to give you rocks (as A-Ghost gives you a bulkier and fighting resistant wall.) On Kyogre, use Water Spout / Surf / Thunder / Ice Beam. Also, Focus Blast > Psy on Darkrai and Draco > psy on Kyurem-W
First and for all, I agree with every suggestion made by Finch and and IAmAnHero. If you have any doubts, I'll explain their suggestions a little further: Waterfall is useless on Kyogre. Even when you would be tricked, Surf/Water Spout will still do way more damage than Waterfall (and CB Trickers aren't even common in Ubers). Here are the calks: 0Atk Choice Band Kyogre (-Atk) Waterfall in Rain vs 252HP/0Def Multitype Arceus (Neutral): 33% - 39% (150 - 177 HP). Guaranteed 3HKO. 252SpAtk Kyogre (Neutral) Surf in Rain vs 252HP/0SpDef Multitype Arceus (Neutral): 49% - 58% (220 - 261 HP). Guaranteed 3HKO. 25% chance to 2HKO. Not only will a more Defensive Groudon help your team synergy immensely, Brick Break and Thunder Punch are worthless. Time to do the math! Thunder Punch is a 75 Base Power move. When it hits Kyogre for Super Effective damage, this makes 150 Base Power. However, Earthquake has 100 Base Power. So when you'd hit the same Kyogre, thanks to the STAB boost, it will value 150 Base Power too! Same story goes with Brick Break on Ferrothorn. Hope I helped to make some of these suggestions a bit clearer, and good luck! PS: Psychic is a pretty bad coverage moves in Ubers, because there aren't as many Fighting types. There are, however, a lot of Steel types, so Focus Blast is a better coverage move.
I agree with just about everything said above. You focus way to much on fighting types. Trust me you don't see much other than the occasional scarf Terrakion. You can run the Extreme Killer Arceus just fine, so I don't see the need for the change to ghost. You definitely need a more defensive Groudon. And try giving Darkrai a focus sash and focus blast, since the common Ubers fighters are all weak to fighting themselves. Darkrai doesn't need psychic since you have Mewtwo. Kyurem-w with dracometeor is deadly, so try giving it that. It doesn't need psychic. Now onto the new stuff! Looking at your team, a Deoxys-A could do Mewtwo's job just as well, or possibly better. Considering that Deoxys-A has base 180 special attack, base 150 speed, and access to a base 140 power stab move, he will hit harder than Mewtwo ever will right out of the gate. A standard max speed scarf Terrakion is faster than an un-boosted Deoxys-A is, but scarf Deoxys-A out speeds even the deadly sand band Excadril. However, focus sash is the more popular choice, allowing for Deoxys-A to 2HKO opponents, even though Deoxys-A has puny defenses, and can be OHKOed by everything but Shuckle. Also, you can keep the variety of Ice Beam and Fire Blast; so sash would be the best option. Good luck with your team!
As a few suggestions above stated, having Waterspout instead of Waterfall will benefit you more, plus you are Timid nature, which makes Waterfall more useless than needing. Also, since you are Scarfed, the Choice Band trickers are most defiantly going to be slower (unless someone has a Kabutops or Excadrill with Trick, that is not happening.) Mewtwo, you could run Life Orb over Leftovers to gain extra damage, also seeing how Mewtwo barely can take a hit majority of times. But, since you are offensive over a Bulky set, Leftovers aren't exactly a huge dealio in your favor. Groudon, I find a bit of a problamo. Making it a Offensive Stealth Rock user, can keep up offensive momentum AND get hazards up. This set is most recommendable if wanting to: Groudon @ Leftovers Trait: Drought EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Hp / 4 Def Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Earthquake - Fire Punch/Stone Edge - Dragon Tail/Dragon Claw - Stealth Rock Now as for K-W, having Focus Blast over Psychic will help out if against opposing Rain teams and you not having Groudon around. Plus, having it can counter the rare SpDef Heatran (Turboblaze does allow you to use Fusion Flare on it, but not as well as Focus Blast can) a ton easier. Arceus? I honestly think it'd be better off running a Giratina-O instead. It can block rapid spins, it's incredibly Bulky (even if it's O instead of Alt.) The Arceus you are running takes on anything that is not Steel-type or a very Bulky mon, which your team covers to a large extent. This set as well can be used if you find it to your liking: Giratino-O @ Griseous Orb Trait: Levitate EVs: 252 Atk / 252 Hp / 4 Spd Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk) - Earthquake - Shadow Sneak - Dragon Tail - Substitute And Darkrai? It'd be best to run Ice Beam or Focus Blast instead of Psychic, takes on many of the Ubers out there with one of these two moves instead! And that is all I have to state, I hope this helps!
