    I herd you liekz me :o

    ==General==
    Mudkip is the water starter of Hoenn. He has a base 70 attack, which isn't that bad, 40 speed which is quite slow, and 50/50/50 defenses, leaving it as a very useless pokemon. He has a shallow physical movepool, and gets decent special moves. Sadly he only has 50 base special attack. Mudkip has access to all possible ways of hindering pokemon, and a strong physical STAB. With eviolite his defenses become better, and has a decent boosting move in Curse, as it can make him a hard hitting physical wall, as he is already too slow. Yawn is a decent move to use along with curse, as forcing switches allowing set ups is very nice. He has decent special coverage.

    ==CURSE YOU==
    Mudkip (F) @ Eviolite
    Trait: Torrent
    EVs: 116 HP / 196 Atk / 196 SDef
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Curse
    - Return / Rest / Body Slam / Avalanche
    - Yawn / Sleep Talk
    - Waterfall

    Set Comments:
    The curse variant of mudkip. The EVs on this spread allow the same benefits as max Sdef and Atk, but an extra 2HP points. Eviolite boosts his Defenses to 17/21. Max special defense is used as Curse increases defense. Waterfall or Body Slam are attacking moves, but if you like recovery, rest and sleep talk can be used. The aim of this is to yawn the opponent, and force switches / set up while they sleep. Adamant nature is of course for more attack. There are basically no exploders in LC UU so damp isn't useful and torrent can be trolly if you tank a hit and waterfall.

    ==DatSpecialMudkeep==
    Mudkip (F) @ Eviolite / Choice Specs
    Trait: Torrent
    EVs: 116 HP / 196 SAtk / 196 Spd
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Scald / Surf / Hyrdo Pump
    - AncientPower / Hidden Power [Dark]
    - Earth Power
    - Ice Beam / Sludge Wave

    Set Comments:
    Special Mudkip has decent coverage. Ancient power can boost mudkip which is funny, and HP dark can hit psychics and ghosts harder. The EV spread on this allows maximum speed and Satk, but 2 more HP points. Scald and its slashes is for STAB, scald is good for burning physical attackers. Earth Power is a great move to have, as is ice beam. Sludge wave is also an option, although Ice beam is better. Specs can be used for maximum fire power, although the bulk loss is do not want.

    ==I liek Statuses==
    Mudkip (F) @ Eviolite
    Trait: Torrent
    EVs: 196 HP / 196 Def / 116 SDef
    Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
    - Scald
    - Yawn / Swagger
    - Toxic
    - Body Slam / Attract

    Set Comments:
    A decent gimmick. The aim of this set is to throw statuses around. Attract is to annoy switch ins, but Body slam can paralyze. This set allows you Sleep, Paralyze, Burn, Poison, Infatuate or Confuse the opponent. The EVs leave HP at 24 and with the Eviolite the defenses become 21, which is decently bulky(Ish). This is stopped by special attackers with taunt, as burn won't ail them. Sassy nature doesn't hurt any of the attacking stats, making Body Slam and Scald more useful.

    ==Other Options==
    *Protect and Substitute!
    *Hidden Power Grass on the Special Set.
    *Swagger on the Status set but it is risky.
    *Superpower.
    *Choice band set: Waterfall, Dig, SuperPower and Body slam works well.

    ==Checks&Counters==
    Any electric types can take out the physical sets pretty easily, and ghosts with taunt stops the statuses set short. Grass types can usually take out Mudkip and many scarfers with decent attacking stats can easily kill it.

    I need more in C&C, suggestions?

    In the LC UU Tour, which I got to the Semi-Finals in, I used Choice Banded Mudkip.
    Although it lacks EQ, it's still pretty good, especially with bulk EVs and on Trick Room (which I love in LC UU.)

    Please don't use Dig. You do not get STAB on it, it gives the opponent a free switch and it doesn't add any significant coverage. Frustration/Return have perfect coverage with Water in LC UU and are probably the best option Avalanche can work for hitting Grass Types, or Body Slam for the para chance.

    I apologise, this didn't mark my forum as unread so I didn't see it.
    First of all your opener just bashes Mudkip, that's pretty pointless, give a summary of what Mudkip can do, pointing out its faults is good but you haven't said anything about what it does or where it's useful.
    An item selection of Specs/Eviolite is polar, they play completely differently, I don't like the idea of slashing them on the same set at all.
    I think the statuses set needs an OO mention as "Has access to Yawn and Body Slam which are useful tools. I feel the statuses set is not viable as it'll just status one Pokémon and likely die due to lack of recovery.
    You changed Dig in the first set but did not change the summary text with it, it sill mentions Dig.

    Woopsys, fixed all that.

    I left the specs/eviolite on same set htough, as the point is to either have choice + more bulk, or no choice + more power.

    Well thats why they should be split into two sets since they both play differently, like Wevilewinz said. Also in the Set Comments you should explain what attack hits which certain pokemon. Like you slashed Ancient Power and HP Dark on the Special orientated set. I mean what does it hit and does this specific threat wall Mudkip if I don't use it etc. Seconding that you should move the status set to OO. Also add examples in the C&C like you say Electric-types beat the physical set, which Electric-types roam the tier mention things like Voltorb or Electrike etc. Anyway sorry for bashing your analysis to much, but I know you put much effort in it. Thanks ~
