Hey. If I ever implement 5th gen, i'd need more details on those: Telekinesis - テレキネシス (terekineshisu) Tested by Natty. Makes the pokemon levitate for 3 turns but no attack on it miss (dynamic punch hit 50 times out of 50). They still miss when the pokemon uses bounce etc. Strike/Knock Down - うちおとす (uchiotosu) Tested by Natty. The pokemon is knocked on the ground. Even if it has flying type, use magnet rised or used it before the move, or is under Telekinesis or has Levitate, Ground moves will still hit it. Lasts until the pokemon switches out. Synchro Noise - シンクロノイズ (shinkuronoizu) Tested by Natty. Hits all pokemon on the field that share a type with the user. If no pokemon on the field shares a type with the user, fails. Trickery - イカサマ (ikasama) Tested by Natty. The target's attack is used for the calculation as if it was the users attack, boosts included. Nothing else is copied from the target, choice item boost, ability boost etc. are all from the user. You First/After You - おさきにどうぞ (osakinidouzo) Tested by Natty. Makes the target go right after you, as long as they haven't moved yet. Priority & Category of the move the target would use don't matter. Echo Voice - エコーボイス (ekooboisu) Tested by MINSC. Every turn this move is used, the power increases. If a turn is spent without this move used successfully, the power is reset. It doesn't matter who uses the move. The power is stored in a "BattleField counter", and can increase up to 4 times (and only once per turn). The base power is 40, 80, 120, 160, 200. Mirror Type - ミラータイプ (miraataipu) Tested by Natty. User copies the foe's both types. Doesn't fail if the types are already the same Retaliation/Retribution/Get Even/Vengeance - かたきうち (katakiuchi) Tested by Quacks. Deals more damage if teammate was KO'd last turn. Any teammate works. Pokemon at the spot of the user works. Doesn't work if teammate is only koed same turn. Water Oath/Realm - みずのちかい (mizunochikai) Tested by Slipperjeans. If used with Fire Oath, makes a rainbow on the targeted team that doubles the chances of move effects on pokemons of the targeted team for 5 turns (and doesn't stack with serene grace) General effects about oaths: Oaths do not need to be executed in a precise order. They don't need to be executed one after right of another. When two pokemons on your team select different oaths, when it's the turn of the faster one to attack, a message will be displayed saying it's waiting to make a combo attack. Then when the slower one attacks, it deals damage with an attack stat made of its own attack stat + its partner's (without the choice item boost), with the base power of the move also doubled (and a message saying a combo of 2 is happening). It also attacks its own target, not the target of the fastest one. If the slower one can't attack because of status, flinch, ... It'll do nothing and basically the fastest one will just have wasted one turn. Fire Oath/Realm - ほのおのちかい (honoonochikai) Tested by Slipperjeans. If used with grass oath, creates a burning field that deals 1/8 damage per turn for 5 turns on the targeted team. Still damages flash fire users. Grass Oath/Realm - くさのちかい (kusanochikai) Tested by Slipperjeans. If used in conjunction with Water Oath, makes a swamp that halves the speed of the targeted team for 5 turns. Still slows down flying pokemons. Cross Flame - クロスフレイム (kurosufureimu) If used after Cross Thunder, its power is increased. By how much? In doubles, does it need to be used right after Cross Thunder? Do all moves used after the combination get the boost? Cross Thunder - クロスサンダー (kurosusandaa) If used after Cross Flame, its power is increased. By how much? In doubles, does it need to be used right after Cross Flame? Do all moves used after the combination get the boost? You can find a basic description of the moves here: https://spreadsheets.google.com/ccc?...YG&hl=en#gid=0 But they need to be tested ingame. Also, feel free to post some of the results in Smogon's B/W research thread. I look there too for info, but for now I'd like to have a rough idea on how all moves work. And it's not that urgent, so... Once it's done i'll do the same with abilities. Also, don't post data that I didn't ask for. If you believe I have wrong data on a move, you can tell, but please don't post info I don't need. Thanks in advance.
ideas for trickery, it may be the complete opposite formula of gyro ball, but utilizing the attack stats for assist power, like, stat boosts, +1 boost=+50%, therefor it will do (normal damage)x 1.5, then x2 for +2 stat increases, and times 4 for max stat, etc, and the same for troll/ acapella, +50% for each pokemon that has it on their team (although that will be abused everywhere, its possible) Acrobat: pokemon 1 will be able to hit pokemon 3, and 3 will be able to hit 1 in triple battles: 1|2|3 1|2|3 may i be able to test one of these?
feel free to test anything there is no restrictions to testing/researching. any help is greatly appreciated.
how do you measure base power of moves? or by how much the stat of a pokemon was increased? Like, in Assist Power, how can I tell by how much is the Base Power increased per stat boost? or if power increased per stat boost or per stat boosted? O! and... I'll test Mirror Type soon. (: EDIT: okay, hugh news! I tested Mirror type. I gave my starmie the move mirror type, and recover. went to double battles, against fearow and another pokemon. I used starmie & Gigaiasu. 1st turn: starmie used recover (nothing happened of course) Gigaiasu attacked the pokemon that is not fearow, and made it faint. 2nd turn: starmie used Mirror type on the fearow, and Gigaiasu used Earthquake (since it's a slow pokemon, starmie used Mirror type before). E.Q. missed Fearow AND the starmie. 3rd turn: Starmie used recover (to heal itself from the damage that Fearow did). Gigaiasu used E.Q.and missed again. I repeated the 3rd turn over and over for 6 more times, Gigaiasu missed always because Starmie was still a flying type. 10th turn: Gigaiasu switched into Emboar. Starmie used Recover. 11th turn: Emboar used Brick Break on starmie. the damage was neutral (normal) which means starmie got both Normal and Flying. Starmie used Recover. 12th turn: Switched starmie into a noob pokemon. I healed Emboar's PP (LOL). Fearow attacked the noob pokemon and fainted it. Starmie was brought out again. 13th turn: Emboar used rollout on starmie, and the damage was neutral. Starmie used Recover. CONCLUSION ------------------ Mirror type lasts untill the pokemon swiches out (just like ditto's transform for example). Mirror type copys it's target types exacly. (Starmie used Mirror type on Fearow and became a Normal/Flying pokemon). (not tested but it is safe to say that-) The pokemon gets STAB from the types it copied. another thing: A pokemon can use Mirror type over and over again whenever it feels like it. Starmie could use Mirror type on Golduck three times in a row, the move never failed. if used on a diffrent target, the type changes again. thats it :D
Go in a double battle, record the damage to your own pokémon without the boost a few times, then with the boost and try to work out how much higher the damage is. (Boosted Damage/Original Damage = Increase) But remember to do it a few times to get an accurate reading. You don't even have to do the calculation, just post the damage results, I'm sure someone will work it out for you :3
Using Grass Oath followed by Fire Oath produces a field of fire that damages your opponents. Combining Fire Oath and then Water Oath creates a rainbow in the sky which boosts the secondary effects of your teammates' attacks Combining Water Oath and then Grass Oath creates a muddy filed which Lowers (probably halves) both of the opponents's speed.
Umm I don't know if you already know, but Sturdy got upgraded so it now acts like a Focus Sash. Just letting you know.
Noted here http://pokemon-online.eu/forums/showthread.php?1811-5th-gen-changes-on-old-generation-mechanics
Gilad... I need precise info. Like the number of turns it last, if there are special conditions to combine them, or using them in succession can work in any case (even with other pokemons moving in between), the boost the secondary effects gain, the damage caused by the field of fire... How do you expect me to code those moves without knowing the info?
hmm, that's the point. My rom crashed and desmume is not working anymore, but i used it once. If I remember correct the damage the fire field cause is 1/8, and the field long last for 5 turns. (95%, i'll check later if i am correct with friend + the % of boost of secondary effect.). I gave this information so you would know at least some of the information. o-o
Ok =) By the way the Flying Cow, feel free to test. @Natty: To know the base power of a move, just use another move with the estimated same power and see if they do the same damage. For assist get the base power like that with 1, 2, 3 boosts. And after that try to see if there is a limit in the increase after a specified number of boosts.
so here are the results of Strike/Knock Down: I had Aerodactyl with Knock Down, and a Gigaiasu. At the first time I fought in doubles against Wargle and Golduck... Aerodactyl used Knock Down on Wargle. Wargle attack Gigaiasu (little damage, doesnt matter) Golduck used Submersion on Aerodactyl, thus making it a Water type pokemon, and lastly, Gigaiasu used E.Q. which fainted all of the pokemon on the field including the annoying Golduck that ruined my test, Wargle, and my aerodactyl. I didn't know what caused my aerodactyl lose his flying type, the Knock Down, or the Submersion... then, in a 1-on -1 battle, i used Aerodactyl VS Wargle. Aerodactyl used Knock Down, Wargle used Free Fall. Aerodactyl used E.Q. (missed becausein air).Wargle 's Free Fall hitted. Aerodactyl used E.Q. (hit) Wargle used Free Fall. Aerodactyl used E.Q. (missed becausein air).Wargle 's Free Fall hitted. Aerodactyl used E.Q. (hit). Wargle Fainted. in 2 on 2 battle: Aerodactyl used Knock Down on Seviper. my Gigaiasu used E.Q. and it didn't affect Aerodactyl, but fainted both opponents. CONCLUSION ----------------------------- Knock Down affects only the target. The target DOESNT LOSE HIS FLYING TYPE!!! ground moves just being able to hit it (Neutral effectivity), Rock, Ice and Electric still good super effective on it. The effect lasts until the traget swiches out. ill test it on levitating pokemon soon
Are you sure it lasts until the target switches out? How many turns did you wait (8 turns should be enough)? And also, apart from levitating pokemon, check what happens on a magnet rise or Telekinesis'd pokemon (only if levitate pokemon are knocked down) Thanks =)
Sure thing, i waited 4 turns, but i'll check it after 8 turns (it'll be tough considering the succide birds of this Generation) EDIT: just tested on a Chimecho. Knocked down it, and then E.Q... it fainted. ill try it on telekinesised and magnet rising pokemons. i willl also try to test it on a flying pokemon to see how many turns it takes. EDIT #2: I went to a double battle against two Metapods (PERFECT =D) I used Goruugu & Aerodactyl. 1st turn: Goruugo Telekinesis-ed one metapod, and Aerodactyl attacked the other Metapod (It didn't faint). 2nd turn: Aerodactyl (fastest) Knocked Down the telekinesis-ed Metapod, leaving it with low health, and Goruugo used Earthquake, and both Metapod fainted. CONCLUSION --------------------- when attacking a Telekinesis-ed pokemon, you can hit it again with ground type moves. I'll now go find a bird that doesn't die in 8 turns...
No problem (: Next move i'm gona test: You First/After You EDIT: kay, I had 2 pokemons with me: Tabunne (41-Fastest) & Miruhoggu (25-Slowest). Iwent on a doubles battle, I choose with Tabunne to use Double Team, and with Miruhoggu- 'You First' targeting Tabunne. Tabunne used DoubleTeam successfuly, however Miruhoggu's "You First" always failed. Then I went into a second Doubles battle, with the same two pokemon. This Time Tabunne targeted Miruhoggu for "You First", and Miruhoggu used Swords Dance, Tabunne exacuted it's "You First" and then Miruhoggu's "Swords Dance" worked, even while there are two more opponents, faster than Miruhoggu. Coyotte, i'll let you do the CONCLUTIONs this time XD
Ok thanks a lot, that's really helpful. What I'm interested to know is, does it also work with offensive moves? (damaging moves?) Good night!
Okay, I got it now. CONCLUTION ------------------------ When the faster pokemon uses "You First", the slowest Target uses it's move first. If target uses Priority move greater than 0, the move "You First" fails. It works with any kind of move, offensive, boosting, etc... If target uses Priority move equal to 0 the move will be executed before all other 0 priority move are executed. ^^^^^ Same with every priority move lower than 0 ^^^^^ For example, i use a Tabunne and Skarmory VS Skarmory and Skarmory My skarmory is the slowest. Tabunne is the fastest. all Skarmories (including myn) use Roar. Tabunne use "You First" and targeting my own Skarmory. Turn number X begins: Tabunne used 'You First' My skarmory used Roar, the rest doesnt matter XD
Posting this here before I forget or w/e. You can pickup berries from partner in double. You can pickup a berry someone with pickup picked up. Fire Field from Grass+Fire Oath damages Pokémon with Flash Fire Swamp from Grass+Water Oath lowers speed of Flying/Levitating Pokémon
Does pickup activate immediately, or at the end of the turn? If it picks up immediately, can you have infinite regeneration between you and your partner?
Pickup activates immediately and the berry is consumed, even if the conditions aren't met (less than x% hp) No, guess there must be a limit of only one activation per turn Fire Field hits Pokémon in dig/fly/free fall
You can test 5th Gen moves and abilities by actually playing Black & White, and check how every move works. Next move I am going to test: V-Generate wish me luck (:
For the move Trickery, taken from Serebii.net, It takes the OPPONENTS Attack stat and used 95 base power. I m sure Stab is determined by the user of the move. If that helps you in any way.
Does it take the choice band boost of the foe? Or does it take the choice band boost of the user, if any? Does it take the ability boost (like huge power) from the foe? From the user? Does it take the stat boosts from the foe? From the user? =)
also this is what serebii says about it It attacks the opponent with song. If everyone sings together you can use the move in successive turns and have its power increase but they have a different name for it http://www.serebii.net/attackdex-bw/singaround.shtml but it is definately the same move
Well on that I don't think I could help you with. I Could give a theory on it if I thought about it a bit, bit I personally can't test it to be sure. So some info you can think about, but have someone else test: Choice band, etc boost the atk of the pokemon making it an X total amount. I don't have a way of testing if it will count the item on you, or your opponent, for damage calc's. I suspect that it is possible that it may, but if that's so if you had a band, and your opponent with a high attack who also held a band, used the move it would be really powerful. Maybe too powerful? So I assume it wont. Stat boosts raise opponents attack, to yes I am sure it would use that. An ability, like Huge Power, Auto boosts the attack, I have a good feeling it would take the boosted X amount of the attack and use that. As it used the OPPONETS attack stat for the damage calc's, I am not sure if it will use your own attack boosts when using the move. But that's only my theory.
In order to code the moves, we need the real - in - game moves information. Your theory is interesting, but ill test it as soon as i'm finished with V-Generate, if you want. (:
I cant find what pokemons know the move V-Generate... But~~~ I know that V-Generate is just a normal Physical Fire-type move... Power: 180 Acc: 95 PP: 5 (8 after PP max) it is extremely powerful fire type move, and after using it, user's Defense, Special Defense, and Speed are lowered by one stage (like using Close-combat + Hammer arm together, but fire type). So I couldn't find what pokemon learn that move... The move is acting normally when used on allies, thats your answer (there's no need to test it. it wasn't mentioned anywhere it act diffrently when used on a teammate). If it is still important for you to test it, tell me what pokemon can learn this move, and i'll go test it anyway.
