I tried something like this before, and it barely worked: only one theme guide got made and put on the wiki (http://wiki.pokemon-online.eu/wiki/Theme:FF) - but I'm quite pleased with it and I firmly believe in this project, so let's try it again. If you'd like to help with a project dedicating to making theme guides, then having these on the wiki for easy reference, read on. This would be a great way to help the community out, as very few people were willing to help last time among other reasons - I was also to blame. I'd like to say that I am starting over on claims, so if you had a claim last time get it in quick. If someone is working on a theme you wanted to do, approach them and ask for help. However, they're not obligated to allow you to co-write it. Use Kurapika's guide maker for the info (http://tinyurl.com/kuramaker); I or another will take care of that if you do not know how to. (EDIT: Use Fuzzysqwrl's template: http://tinyurl.com/fuzzyguide)Though, in all honestly, I do prefer if you know how to format on the wiki. Also, if you claim a theme but don't go fast enough, then I may relieve you of your duties and ask another person to step up. Keep reading if you are interested! To begin, look at the FF guide: http://wiki.pokemon-online.eu/wiki/Theme:FF Basically, emulate the format like this: 1. About This Theme. Describe the theme in one or two setences. Mention its creator, a bit about this theme, why it works and is fun. 2. Theme Summary. Copy and paste the summary of the theme on the server. 3. List of Roles. Probably the toughest part. List each role, and include what side it's on, its team, how many people - minimum and maximum - needed for it to show up, and then a description of what it does in the theme, and how to play as it. 4. General Tactics and Notes. Things all players and roles should know about this theme; sort of like fun facts that players should heed. LIST OF THEMES AND CLAIMS: Body: SteelEdges (complete) Capcom: SteelEdges (complete) Caterpie: MeowMix/SteelEdges (complete) Chinchous: Zzyzx Road ClanWar: Saltopus Default: MeowMix (complete) Elements: t3 the third FE (Fire Emblem): DatXFire (complete) FF (Final Fantasy): Fegelein (complete) FiM (Friendship is Magic) (complete) Fruit: Mr.Anonymous History: SteelEdges (Complete) Hoenn: CarlesNB (Complete) Ice Cream: SteelEdges (Complete) Kirby: Mr.Anonymous Marvel: Dark Phoenix Mythology: Katia Ocean: Water One Piece: SteelEdges (complete) Pixar: Pokemon II: Mr.Anonymous Ragnarok: Kurapika (complete) ROTK: Fuzzysqurl SSBB: Nainil Space: SteelEdges (complete) Space Invaders: TheSexiOne (complete) Survivors: TheSexiOne WWII: Li Q. Can we write a guide to our own themes? And I could write a guide for Space Invaders, but I don't know if I'll have the time/remember, so I'm not claiming for now. If no one does, I may claim later.
Default is on the wiki. In addition, I've updated the mafia theme page to include all current themes. When a theme overview is made, try and affix it to this page as well.
I claim Ragnarok. If things go nice I'll probably claim History and Marvel. But for now I claim only Ragnarok!
I have no clue how to do anything with the Wiki. How do updates work for a Wiki? If I could choose any theme I would want to do Capcom. It is new though so I am not sure if it really needs one as of yet. If I can't do Capcom then I would happily do Marvel since it seems no one has claimed it yet according to the original post.
Okay guys! Some of you already tested it, I made a little program that makes it easier to make the guides in Wiki's format. Download it here: Link! Read the "read me" file if you want to understand how to use it. If you encounter any problem please PM me! Note: It works only in Windows. EDIT: More fixes, now it is possible to load from a created wiki file. EDIT #2: As the template of the wiki guide has been improved, this program is no longer useful at the moment! Ir will be updated later, tough! EDIT #3: The program has been updated and now supports the new template. Donwload link: Here.
Thanks to Kurapika's very handy theme maker, History is now on the wiki, but needs help. http://wiki.pokemon-online.eu/wiki/Theme:History Edit: Same with Ice Cream - http://wiki.pokemon-online.eu/wiki/Theme:Ice_Cream
FiM has finally been done. However it is probably still lacking, especially in General Notes and Tactics. Feel free to suggest things. Updated version: http://pastebin.com/aS8fQR5A
Here's ROTK. Should be formatted for instant copypaste to the wiki. Spoiler Code (text): '''About This Theme''' ROTK, aka Romance of the Three Kingdoms, is one of the more difficult themes to learn how to play. It is authored by Fuzzysqurl, who does not fear going outside of the box. The game has Inspectors that inspect during standby, Pretty Ladies that can also sometimes inspect, Bodyguards that can kill, a Conspirator that bombs all kills, and Villagers that can change sides in the middle of the game. It plays like a "Clan War", having each side resemble a village. '''Theme Summary''' Romance of the Three Kingdoms theme. The numerous Shu Forces collide with the powerful Wei forces and the tactical Wu forces while fighting for control of China. Watch out for Yuan Shao who will not tolerate anyone fighting over his land and Lu Bu, who will not hesitate to destroy you! Be wary of your decisions, if your army doesn't like the direction you are going, they can defect and join a different side! '''List Of Roles ''' {| class="wikitable" |- ! Role Name ! Role Team ! He can do a non-revealing daykill during the day. He also counters all daykillers. |} '''GENERAL TACTICS AND NOTES ''' * This theme is cruel on those that don't pay attention. Every role has a function or action, including the villagers. * The commanders for each side appear all at once, along with Lu Bu. * Zhuge Liang's inspect is broadcast to everyone, but the name is not included. If the role that was inspected gets voted off, chances are one of the first few voters is Zhuge Liang. * Sima Yi cannot be protected by its own team if Sima Shi is still around. * Wu has the easiest time linking to each other. They start off with an adequate amount of role revealing, and 2 of their roles are unable to do damage to team mates. * Wei and Shu both rely on roles that self expose for full linking. * Pay attention to the roles, especially when someone inspects or exposes. There are a number of Miller-type roles meant to aid a side in winning if they happen to get soldiers/Soldiers on their side. [[Category:Mafia]]
History has been finished. I'm sorry for not reflecting this: http://wiki.pokemon-online.eu/wiki/Theme:History
