I don't know If this is how it's supposed to work, but right now, the team builder saves your trainer data (Username, Sprite, Personal Details, Winning & Losing messages) along with the teams - which I guess is fine by most people, but it results in a problem: Say I change my Personal Details today. If I load a team that was made 2 days ago, I lose all changes. I tested it on my team builder, and that is what happens - if others test it and find that it doesn't, then I guess I just did something wrong. If not, I suggest, if it is possible, that the trainer options are saved somewhere separate from the team. An example of how this could be done is to create a savestate file on a separate folder, perhaps, and create a "Save Preferences" button on the Trainer tag, to differentiate it from the "Save Team" button. I guess there could be other solutions to this as well - this is just a suggestion I could come up with.
I like being able to change names by loading teams though. What's wrong with saving the 'personal info' when it's changed as a separate team file?
there's nothing wrong, but when you reload an old team, you will still lose all of it - I found no way around it. that's why I'm suggesting it should get saved.
Perhaps you could save the Pokemon from that team into the boxes, and then load them from the boxes into the team with the updated info, then resave the team so you've got your new name/info?
I already do that, but that means that you have to open the team builder every time - If I have to do that, I might as well change my information again and again. what I was suggesting is being able to load a team WITHOUT your details changing and also WITHOUT having to open team builder. with the meager remnants of my programming knowledge, I understand the implications of this - I can imagine the hassle, and I would dread having to program it. But, it's a suggestion, not a request - If others feel it's unneeded, or just too much trouble for what it's worth, its not too much trouble fixing the info anyway. It was just a suggestion as to what would be nicer to my sensibilities.
But what about the people who WANT to keep the same name and trainer info as was saved in their team? Perhaps an option should pop-up, asking if you want your name and trainer info copied over as well when loading a team?
