So, this is just a random idea out of nowhere; let's have a random mafia theme, where every role's name is randomized and I try to make an explanation why would ex. a paper have inspect. I would switch the names after a while; maybe a month or two. But there was a problem; I need to make a theme first. So, I thought a ClanWar-like game would be easy to make. Two sides with exact same stuff, and a werewolf to screw stuff up. At least that would be balanced. So here are the roles for the first update: (randomized the names for first update) [secret] Red Inspector (Lira) Red Bodyguard (Unbaptized) Red Distractor (Toileting) Red Stalker (Respirator) Red Villager (Supposes) Red Spy (Polonaise) Red Safeguarder (Misfits) Red Poisoner (Balm) Red Killer (Nags) Red Daykiller (Bluebird) Daykill Message: "Bluebird dropped a bomb over ~Target~... And he/she's down." Blue Inspector (Condescendingly) Blue Bodyguard (Paperback) Blue Distractor (Vegetarianism) Blue Stalker (Captivity) Blue Villager (Reinterpret) Blue Spy (Mechanically) Blue Safeguarder (Wenches) Blue Poisoner (Retaken) Blue Killer (Perpetrating) Blue Daykiller (Looking) Daykill message: "Looking looked at ~Target~!" Werewolf with kill & distract (Flopping) [/secret] So, I need your opinions; will this type of theme be stupid, because you would have to learn the names before playing? (on the other hand, I think that would be fun. No one would know which role does what before looking at /roles.) Also, I randomized every name at http://randomwordgenerator.net/results.php
If the names are like this, wouldn't it be hard for the Mafians to remember the (without a doubt, silly :P) lil' names? Especially if you change them every month. But... the names.... Toileting... I lol'd.
