Ok, forget High School, I know what I'm about to do is probably against the rules, so tell me if so, but I'm changing this theme from High School to Voltorb. If this theme does not do well, I might just stop making themes period becuase so much in mafia has evolved now (ex. FE) I can't keep up with it. The role Voltorb is a killer and a bomb. If one Voltorb hit's another, they both die. If one hits a Hippowdon, then the Voltorb stays alive and the Hippowdon dies. Now you may ask, how does the Hippowdon side win? Well they don't kill but they do convert! They /sand someone into a sand hill. The last role is Electrode which is a revealing-exposer. Only 3 Electrodes will be in a game at the max. They first appear at the 14th person, then the 20th person, and lastly the 28th person. Electrodes are NOT bombs. That's pretty much it.
I like how the lunchlady doesn't get a win message. Also, you spelt advantage wrong in the geometry teacher's info. It's an interesting theme you have done. As Dark Phoenix said, it's not that original, but this theme is probably something that we can relate to, which is why some themes are more popular than others.
In the nature of voltorbs and electrodes some one needs to have Self Destruct or Explosion. I will even code it for you. "Explosion": { "command": "kill", "suicideChance": 1.0, "target": "AnyButSelf", "priority": 1, "common": "Self" } priority is 1 because the description of explosion is that it gets past the defenses. "Self Destruct": { "command": "kill", "suicideChance": 1.0, "common":"Self", "target": "AnyButSelf", "priority": 15 } If you were to add those commands it would make the game more interesting and add some diversity and flavor to the theme. I think you need more than 3 roles as well. Maybe add in the un-evolved of Hippowdon for another role. Just some suggestions.
Wow, now I feel like I copied something, my intention was to make something creative and different from everything else, but now I'm right back where I started...
This is a biased statement but I really think you should do what I said. It would add a lot to your theme and make it unique. At least to me. There is a whole lot you could do with the Hippowdon vs Voltorb theme. If you would like I can try to think up of other things that can go into this theme.
So I don't even play mafia, but when you pluralize a Pokemon's name, it's just the exact same name. You don't have to add a "s", so the plural of Voltorb is Voltorb, the plural form of Hippowdon is Hippowdon, etc. Just a note.
That was the first sentence that came out of my mind. This looks a bit like a reskin+, so it's probably going to get declined since reskins and reskins+ aren't really wanted.
You have one fatal error, fix it with the mafia checker (Hippowdon convert voltorbs to sand and the sand role isn't there). It's impossible not to compare this with minesweeper. Only difference being the converts and a daykiller. Rather uninteresting honestly and I'm afraid I'll have to decline.
Don't stop there! How about make a Kanto theme and implement Voltorb in it? I haven't seen Ghetsis. bring up the theme... Anyways, yes, this theme is like Minesweeper with daykillers. It's also similar to Space Invaders in a way, where everything is luck based. I like how you added Suicide Chances instead of making the roles themselves bombs. However, Electric Types can't attack Ground Types...
Just to hurry this along, I am going to have to concur for the same reasons - it is just Minesweeper with a few differences. Decline [3].
