    Intro
Hello people of Pokemon Online, welcome to my second RMT and first LU RMT. After reaching #1 in NU I decided to set my sights on the top of the ladder in LU, I didn't have much experience in LU and honestly I still don't have that much experience. Despite that this team somehow managed to peak at #1 and is currently first place on the ladder.

    The Peak
    [IMG][/HIDE]

After looking through almost every single LU analysis on this forum, last month's usage statistics and skimming through Smogon I began to understand what the most popular Pokemon were and their best sets. I knew that the Regen core of Slowking and Tangrowth was popular but I didn't want to use that. I did however want to use something that could easily set up on both of these popular Pokemon. Looking through the Pokemon available in LU I stumbled upon Uxie. Uxie is almost always seen as a defensive Stealth Rock setter and a Sub+CM set could be effective and so Uxie was added to the team. I knew I wanted a somewhat stable defensive core behind Uxie and Slowking + Steelix was a simple yet effective core. I wanted a grass type and I had heard great things about Lilligant and her sweeping capabilities so she was added. Druddigon was added for his wallbreaking abilities and has the added bonus of weakening Uxie's biggest counter, Steelix. I could see that my team would struggle with normal types such as Clefable and Miltank so Primeape was added to the team, he is the only Fighting Type in LU that had access to U-Turn and also had the ability to revenge kill Sigilyph who was also a threat. So without further ado, I present to you the team!

    In Depth

    Steelix @ Leftovers
    Trait: Sturdy
    EVs: 248 HP / 102 Def / 160 SDef
    Relaxed Nature (+Def, -Spd)
    - Stealth Rock
    - Earthquake
    - Gyro Ball
    - Roar

Steelix is one of the best support Pokemon in the entire tier thanks to his enormous Defense, Steel Typing and access to moves such as Stealth Rock, Roar and Dragon Tail. Steelix provides Stealth Rocks for the team and has the ability to set it up multiple times throughout the match if need be. Steelix provides a nice check to Pokemon such as Escavalier, Aggron, Bouffalant and Choiced Pokemon locked into an Electric Type move. Together with Slowking they provide a nice core that functions decently in today's Metagame.

Stealth Rocks are great helping to keep Bug, Flying and Fire types in check and also breaks Focus Sash. Earthquake and Gyro Ball are great Stab moves and Gyro Ball hits surprisingly hard due to Steelix having low Speed and a -Speed nature. Roar is useful for racking up hazard damage and phasing out set up sweepers is nice.

The Ev's may seem weird but Max Hp for overall bulk, 102 Defense Ev's ensures that Steelix is never 2KO'd by Primeapes Close Combat and the rest is dumped in Sdef to help Steelix handle Galvantula and Rotom who are also a threat.

    Primeape @ Choice Scarf
    Trait: Vital Spirit
    EVs: 4 HP / 252 Atk / 252 Spd
    Jolly Nature (+Spd, -SAtk)
    - Close Combat
    - Stone Edge
    - Punishment
    - U-turn

Primeape is the Revenge killer, Scout and Sleep absorber for the team. Being the fastest fighting type in LU and having access to U-Turn make it imo the best Choice Scarfed Fighting type in the tier (Scarf Medicham weak). Primeape will often lead off the match and U-turn out on whatever my opponent leads off with. I play Primeape very conservatively U-turning out on his counters and coming in late game to clean up if need be.

U-Turn is the crux of this set and makes Primeape a great scout, Close Combat is Primeapes best Stab option and hits decently hard, Stone Edge gives Primeape the ability to revenge kill Flying Types and Punishment punishes NP+TR Cofagrigus and CM Sigilyph.

The Ev's are standard, Max attack and Speed wth a jolly nature to allow Primeape to his job to the best of his ability. Vital Spirit is a great Ability allowing him a free switch in on Tangrowth, Lilligant and Amoonguss.

    Slowking @ Leftovers
    Trait: Regenerator
    EVs: 232 HP / 252 SAtk / 24 Spd
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Surf
    - Fire Blast
    - Toxic
    - Slack Off

Slowking is the most used Pokemon in tier and for good reason, great bulk and a nice Base 100 Special attack make it either an incredible wall or noteable offensive threat. Slowking is the bulky water of the team. I opted not to use a fully defensive Slowking since anything with Substitute makes Slowking set up bait so I went with an offensive version. This set gives Slowking a nice offensive presence while retaining some bulk and is a great pivot for the team that allows me to keep offensive momentum.

Surf is Slowking's Stab option and is used of Scald because it's kind of redundant with Toxic. Fire Blast is great at KO'ing Tangrowth, Rotom-C and Lilligant on the switch in, Toxic allows Slowking to wear down opposing defensive behemoths such as other Slowking and bulky waters, Slack off is great when paired with Toxic allowing her to stall it out if need be.

Max Special Attack is used to give Slowking the maximum offensive presence, 24 Speed ev's allows Slowking outrun and destroy Escavalier with the rest dumped in Hp to give Slowking some extra bulk.

    Druddigon @ Choice Band
    Trait: Rough Skin
    EVs: 220 HP / 252 Atk / 36 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Outrage
    - Earthquake
    - Dragon Claw
    - Sucker Punch

Druddigon is the man, enough said... This thing is crazy strong and extremely easy to use, opponent has no Steel Type.. Yay Outrage, opponent has a Steel Type.. Earthquake. Druddigon not only has a Sky high attack stat but also a respectable base 90 Defense and Special Defense. This bulk allows Druddigon to live an Ice Beam from a Modest Ludicolo which is great when your against Rain Teams.

Outrage is here because it has the ability to kill OHKO a huge portion of the tier and alongside Earthquake provides good coverage. Dragon Claw is used if you don't feel like being locked into a move for 2-3 turns and Sucker Punch is a nice priority move and is extremely strong coming from Druddigon.

Max Attack because what Choice Band user wouldn't, 36 Speed Ev's allows Druddigon to outspeed and 2KO Tangrowth and the rest dumped in Hp to give Druddigon some bulk.

    Lilligant @ Life Orb
    Trait: Chlorophyll
    EVs: 252 SAtk / 4 SDef / 252 Spd
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Sleep Powder
    - Quiver Dance
    - Giga Drain
    - Hidden Power [Rock]

Lilligant is an amazing offensive Pokemon having access to Sleep Powder which allows Lilligant to effectively remover one of her counters and access to one of the best moves in the game, Quiver Dance. Lilligant takes full advantage of this move with her base 110 Special Attack and 90 Speed. This allows Lilligant to potentially sweep after just 1 boost.

Sleep Powder is amazing giving Lilligant the ability to take one Pokemon out of the game, Quiver Dance boosts Lilligants Special Attack and Speed to scary levels and gives a nice Special Defense boost, Giga Drain is a great Stab and gives Lilligant a form of recovery and Hidden Power Rock is used because I despise Entei and Moltres.

Pretty straight forward Ev's, Max Special Attack and Speed along with a Timid nature allow Lilligant to outspeed many common Choice Scarf users at +1 and along with Life Orb makes Lilligant hit decently hard.

    Uxie @ Leftovers
    Trait: Levitate
    EVs: 56 HP / 188 SAtk / 40 Sdef / 224 Spd
    Timid Nature (+Spd, -Atk)
    - Substitute
    - Calm Mind
    - Psychic
    - Thunderbolt

Sub+CM Uxie rounds out the team with it's ability to catch my opponents off guard and sweep. Most people assume it's a support Uxie and attempt to status or hit her with a weak attack. Uxie's great Base 130 Defense and Special Defense give Uxie the ability to set up easily on alot of the Metagame. Uxie also has a nice Base 95 Speed which often surprises my opponent and lets Uxie get extra kills because they thought she was slower. Uxie often has the ability to set up to +6 due to her superb bulk. Once Uxie gets +2 and is behind a Sub if you don't have a phaser its pretty much gg.

Calm Mind is great move to have on a such a bulky Pokemon, allowing Uxie to tank a +1 Shadow Ball from Specs Rotom. Substitute allows Uxie to avoid status which is vital for her survivability, Psychic is a nice Stab move and hits decently hard at just +1 and Thunderbolt is great coverage move hitting Slowking, Sigilyph, Moltres and Omastar for super effective damage.

224 Speed Ev's allows Uxie to outspeed Rotom which is very important. 56 Hp and 40 Sdef Ev's ensures that Defensive Tangrowth has something like a 2% chance to break Uxie's Sub before any boosts and the rest dumped into Special Attack to ensure Uxie isn't useless without a boost.

    Conlusion
This team has been extremely fun to use and of course winning is always fun. As the same as most offensively oriented teams, this team struggles to deal with every single threat and the only way to really cover every threat is to run hard stall (boring). Anyway for those of you that have read all of this thankyou very much! I think I'll be setting my sights on #1 in UU next so look out for me there!

I always run 248 HP on Steelix to get a lefties number
Nice team NB Stay away from LU, I don't need any more competition
Might as well change those attack IVs for confusion

Uxie could do with running 56 HP EVs and the rest in defense if you want a lefties number but w/e

He probably would prefer a lefties number +4 to allow 5 consecutive subs from full hp but it's entirely his choice.

    P.S.
    BOO hard stall the best.

    PRIMEAPE! <3<3
Perhaps, HP fire would have been better for Lilligant, but this is my opinion <3
And finally this Uxie. I afraid it, I can't kill it, It is a dream in my nightmares. Nope, really.

Wow New, a great and innovative team as always. Although I think the Slowking set could be tweeked a bit. You're running an offensive set, but with only 2 attacking moves? smh
Why not try Grass Knot > Toxic to punish the incoming Water types as well, and maybe Ice Beam > Slack Off, since you'll aboos Regen to its fullest. Hope I helped and good luck :D

Really nice team New Breed although as Zoro said, running an offensive Slowking with only 2 attacks? Replace Toxic with Psyshock in order to hit Cryogonal, Hitmonchan and the multiple poison types.

A very nice team! And congratulations on hitting number 1!
I see that the team is mostly centred around defence. Even your CB Druddigon has decent bulk.
I'm assuming you have a little trouble with Tanga even though you have Fire Blast on Slowking. :x

Very perfect team, i remember how you just beat my stall team with it :P, just one thing, your team is VERY toxic spikes weak, so a nidoqueen over ur steelix might do as it allows you to defeat the new LU threat Medicham as well, as thunder punch ohko slowking, otherwise great team, keep it up :)

Yeah when I was working out Uxie's ev's I didn't consider hitting a leftovers number at all I just wanted to make sure I could nab a sub up on Tangrowth, i'll run some more calcs and get it updated :)

    Hard stall = Boring!

Thanks for the rate Robin <3 Hp fire would be nice for Escavalier but I find Entei to be much more common and its also nice not to be walled by Moltres. Yes Uxie is really good with the proper support.

Thanks for the rate bro! Yeah I guess I could take Toxic out but it's really helpful against Defensive Slowking if Uxie can't set up because of another Pokemon (Like Steelix) in wearing it down and also helps in dealing with CM Cofag if I don't want to risk Primeape. Slack off was there incase I had to Toxic stall something out and since I don't have a spinner often Regenerator fails to heal me enough if somehow I let multiple layers of entry hazards onto the field.

Thanks for the rate Darklight! Yeah Psyshock would be my first choice over Toxic but Cryogonal can't touch me anyway. Also if it's not running Hp Ground Steelix has a field day against it with Gyro Ball.

Cheers for the rate Freezin'Blue! Yeah CB Druddigon has surprising bulk being often able to take a hit and OHKO something that the rest of my team may be having trouble with. Tangrowth is a pain but I usually spam Fire Blast early game with Slowking and Tangrowth often takes the bait and dies :P

Yeah this team is actually rather Toxic Spikes weak but luckily the main man himself, Uxie is immune. Nidoqueen over Steelix would leave me very weak to Pokemon such as Escavalier, Afrobull, Braviary and Swellow. Toxic Spikes are a pain but I am often able to play around them.

Thanks Zodiak and yeah I'll get right on that now :P
