The title probably sounds stupid but I have an idea. In the new update with Black2 and White2, whenever you select Secret Sword on Keldeo, it automatically becomes its resolute form. Well why not do the same with other Pokemon. Like with Entei, if you put Flare Blitz on it, it changes to shiny as that's the only way of getting Flare Blitz on it in the actual games. Thanks!
This has been brought up in the past. The reason for not doing so is because that by making the beasts shiny, you are revealing a (possibly) significant part of their movepool. With Keldeo-R, there is no such concern. Yes, this is a simulator and should try to emulate the games as closely as possible. But on the flip side, we are also a competitive battling community - and there are certain things which should/need to be done a little differently. You don't get a hover popup of your Pokemon's stats ingame either; that kind of thing.
Just a note here: The scripts do this on our server automatically. Rash Raikou with Extremespeed should be shiny in the battle.
What do you mean? A shiny beast can be acquired without that event. Shinines does not reveal its movepool in any way, while the opposite is true: non-shiny beast cannot have ESpeed and other moves. And for Keldeo this concern actually exists, from what I understand, it transform into Resolution Form if and only if it learns Secret Sword.
You do, however, have access to your Pokemon's status screen, which tells you your Pokemon's stats, and if you keep track of what stat levels you are at, you can always know what your stats are. PO adds the hover pop-up as something to ease the amount of effort required by the player. Personally, I think that this should be implemented, especially if Keldeo's Resolution forme is mandatory with Sacred Sword in BW2. If anything, it can create mindgames for the opponent - use a Shiny CM Entei, and watch as they struggle to stop you as they are expecting Flare Blitz / Extremespeed. Use a Shiny Raikou, and watch as their Landorus ends up eating a Hidden Power Ice as it expected to outspeed a Rash Raikou, not lose to a Timid one. If we are seeking a near-perfect emulation of in-game battles, I think this definately needs adding - and even if we aren't, I'd like to see it added.
So is the scripts programmed to change the ability as well if you choose certain attacks? That would make the simulator closer to the actual game. Also, Shininess doesn't show possible attacks. If you find an actual Shiny Entei in the wild, it wouldn't know Flare Blitz. This can also be used to trick opponents.
