cbf in doing the whole thing but I beat the E4. Note that I was the first person of our "group" who did it but I was too lazy to post it. My Pokemon vs Gary My Items vs Gary Hall of Fame
Part 3 - Misty, CRIT, and Bill the Clefairy or maybe not: Spoiler Two knuckleheads were arguing about who has a better move. One has higher accuracy, one has higher BP. I found TM 05 which is Roar and a Razz Berry while strolling along on Route 4. The first Pokemon I encounter is a Spearow, ew. I train Weedasaur up to level 31 and my Shrooms to level 19 in this route because there is a Pokecenter right next to it and it is right before my gym AND rival battle so I do NOT want to lose any Pokemon seeing as it would be complete game over. Now that I have overtrained the living shit out of my Pokemon, I will go on and take on Misty. Swimmer Luis was way too easy to beat, I took out both his Shellder and his Horsea. I then took out Picknicker Diana’s Goldeen. I beat Misty with two outspeeding Razor Leafs and obtained the TM 03 which is Water Pulse. As I proceed upwards after healing up my Pokemon, my Rival (CRIT) challenges me. I overpredicted my CRIT’s team. I easily beat him and my Weedasaur evolved into Venusaur. I walk forward on my journey up the ‘Nugget Bridge’. All the training comes in handy because now I can actually level Shrooms up. I battle Bug Catcher Cale and destroy his Caterpie, Metapod, Weedle, and Kakuna. Shrooms defeated Lass Ali’s Pidgey, Bellsprout, and Oddish. The third trainer, Youngster Timmy, still stood no chance against my Shrooms. Except I did have to switch Shrooms out and use an Antidote because his Ekans did poison my Shrooms. Lass Reli had Nidoran(male) and Nidoran(female) so I couldn’t take any risk, I used my Weedasaur. Shrooms demolished Camper Ethan’s Mankey and I proceeded on to take the Nugget from some poser who turned out to be a Rocket Grunt. I beat his Ekans and Zubat. I wanted to catch a Pokemon from Route 24 and went to the patch of grass but Camper Shane wanted to battle. After taking his Rattata and Ekans out, my Shrooms leveled up to level 21. And of course, the first Pokemon I run into is a Weedle. I go further up and take TM 45 which is Attract. I enter Route 25 and the first thing I do, out of curiosity, go in the patch of grass, cross my fingers and toes and other body parts you can cross. And guess what, a Weedle. Hey, at least I find a Pecha Berry! Then I go ahead and demolish every trainer on the east side. Hiker Franklin with his Machop and Geodude, Youngster Joey with his Rattata and Spearow, Hiker Wayne with his Onix, Youngster Dan with his Slowpoke, Picknicker Kelsey with her Nidoran(male) and Nidoran(female), Hiker Nob with his Geodudes and Machop, Camper Flint with his Rattata and Ekans, Youngster Chad with his Ekans and Sandshrew, Lass Haley with her Oddishs and Pidgey. All in all my Weedasaur grew to level 33 and Paras to 22. I enter Bill’s house at the end of the route. This is kind of ironic since my real name is Bill. I love entering other people’s houses without being invited, especially when there’s no one but a Clefairy. The Clefairy claims to be Bill and I help it out by somehow initiating the teleporter’s Cell Separator. Bill gives me an S.S. Ticket for a token of our sudden friendship. I rush back to the Cerulean Pokecenter because I have nothing more to do and I’m annoyed at the slow pace of this adventure.[/HIDE] Part 3 - Pictures: Weedasaur evolves into Venusaur: Team after some training so I don't get demolished by CRIT and after Misty: Part 4 - Vermilion City and Snorlax Trolling: Spoiler I notice the policeman not standing in front of the door of some house up northeast anymore. As I go to check out the robbed house, I realize that Team Rocket had something to do with this, and as I step outside I see that I predicted correctly as I see the Rocket Grunt. He had nothing special, a Machop and a Drowzee. I proceed to pewp all over his team with my Shrooms. He gives me TM 28 which contains Dig and also tells me that he stole it from the house. Me being a total badass keep the TM and doesn’t hand it back to the poor family. I go down in the patch of grass and the first Pokemon I encounter is Pidgey, GREAT. I give my Paras to the daycare man not realizing it’s in the verge of leveling up and has 2 more levels until it evolves. 10 seconds after giving it to him, I realize that and take it back but it’s too late, Paras is now at level 23. Bye bye 200 pokedollars. I encounter some little girl who tells me she’ll trade her Nidoran for a Nidoran. I ignore her and go right down the Underground Path. I come out to Route 9 where the first Pokemon I find is a Meowth. I gladly take that HM Cut slave. I named it M-Cat after Methcathinone which is a drug. It seems as if that’s my theme since I already have Weedasaur and Shrooms. It is an Adamant natured Meowth. Anyways, Bug Catcher Keigo says that there are not many bugs around here, thank god there aren’t I’m so done battling Weedles, Caterpies, etc. My Weedasaur takes both his Weedles and Caterpie out. I also battle both Camper Ricky who had a Squirtle and Nancy who had a Rattata and Pikachu. Bitch paralyzed my Shrooms. Bug Catcher Elijah then proceeded to paralyze my Weedasaur with his Butterfree. Picknicker Isabelle had 3 Pidgey who started trolling me with Sand Attack, but my Weedasaur doesn’t play games so a three Tackles finished all of them off. Camper Jeff had a Spearow and a Raticate, which I quickly minced and my Weedasaur grew to level 34. I healed up my Pokemon at the Vermilion Pokecenter. Afterwards, I went inside this quirky looking house which later I found out was the Pokemon Fan Club and after listening to this old man talk about his Rapidash, obtained a Bike Voucher. The house next to the Pokemon Fan Club had a girl who longed for a Spearow and was going to trade a Farfetch’d for it, stupid little girl. So now I would have to go back to Route 4 to get one. I did head back to Cerulean city to get that bike and to fetch a Spearow. Get it? Fetch a Spearow? To trade it with a FarFETCH’d? y/y/y/y/y? Anyways, so I then grabbed the Farfetch’d and stored it in my PC. Forever. I walked out into Route 11 and took an Awakening from the ground. I love how people drop random shit on the ground for me to take. Hansel & Gretel all up in this. I went on with the path and found Gamer Hugo who had a Horsea and Poliwag. Youngster Eddie had an Ekans which my Weedasaur took care of. Youngster Dillon had a Sandshrew and a Zubat and after the battle, my Shrooms evolved into Parasect! Gamer Jasper’s Oddish and Bellsprout bows before Shrooms. Engineer Bernie has two Magnemites and a Magneton but my Venasaur being overleveled, took all of them out. I also came across an X Defend just walking around. Youngster Dave’s Nidoran’s Poison Touch poisoned my Shrooms and I had one Antidote left, phew. After defeating his Nidoran and Nidorino, I did use an Antidote on my Shrooms. I rushed to the Pokemart and bought 3 Antidotes and 3 Pokeballs afterwards. I also healed up my Pokemon and went back for more. Engineer Braxton’s Magnemite could have possibly taken out my Weedasaur because of the confusion hax and Sonic Boom. So therefore, I went and healed up again, just in case. I noticed Meowth had picked up a Persim Berry with his ability: Pickup. So I took it from him. I defeated Youngster Yasu’s Rattatas and Raticate. So apparently Gamer Dirk had never lost, my Shrooms and Weedasaur make it rain on his team. HOW DOES THAT FEEL, DIRK. I went past him to grab me a Great Ball. I clicked on a boulder, got an Escape Rope. Gamer Darian was a tougher one since he had a Growlithe and a Vulpix, but my Weedasaur took care of them only departing gift I got was 1296 pokedollars and a burnt Weedasaur. To the east was a Snorlax blocking the path, so I just went back towards Vermilion City and walked in to the Diglett Cave. Caught a level 17 Quiet natured Diglett, named it Mud because it’s a street name for heroin and walked out. I walked out and thought that I should make a first encounter in this route and luckily, my first encounter was a level 11 Sassy natured Drowzee, who I named Trippy. I saw that he could be a Special Defensive wall so I kept him on my team. I went back to the Pokecenter and healed up my Pokemon, I saw that Meowth picked up TM 10 which is Hidden Power.[/HIDE] Part 4 - Pictures: Shrooms evolved into Parasect: After catching M-Cat and Trippy: Box:
Can't be arsed updating my post often anymore. Someone else can host the next Nuzlocke that's starting tomorrow.
Kyle's run Here are my previous updates So due to not having time to actually come on here yesterday, I completed the nuzlocke. I just recorded everything on a Notepad, so here comes a wall of text: The Silph Co. retaking and the masters of the mind, body and soul. Alright, after resting up at the Pokemon Center, I geared up my bike and didn't go to Cycling Road. Instead, I went to Saffron City to see what the commotion was about. From seeing all the Rockets around, I figured they were up to something, especially since the gym was blocked off by one of the goons. So after asking around I found out they took over the Silph Co. building and decided to snoop around in there. After warping around the building and eventually getting the Card Key, I snuck around some more and eventually ran into a frightened employee who seemed to be under the care of Nick, who mentioned he heard someone stirring up trouble. We then battled, and after winning he said that I seemed ready for the Rocket's boss and left it to me to drive Team Rocket out of there. I then talked to the worker, and he gave me a Lapras for coming to Silph's aid; and it was Quiet! After naming it Aqua I decided to go out and continue on to Cycling Road for a bit more experience. So after getting my bike prepped up I went to cycling road and made my way to Fuschia City. After touching down and resting at the center, I immediately went to the famous Safari Zone. After running into an Exeggcute, I decided to catch it just in case I need a quick replacement if one of my pokemon happened to bite the dust. After that I made my way far into the safari, and on the way I found a random pair of gold dentures on the ground which I picked up to sell later. When I got to the end, I claimed my Surf HM and then prepared to fight Koga, the master of Poison pokemon. ...and the gym was filled with psychic types. I swear there were more posion types on Cycling Road than in that gym. After Minimize Muk and his exploding Weezing did a number to my team, I got the Soul Badge! So after celebrating my victory, I went back to Saffron to clear out the Silph Co. building. The Rocket members were like rats; they were in every corner you could find. After routing all of the people I could find, I went up to where Giovanni and the President of Silph Co. was. "Stay out of grown up's affairs, Kyle, or you'll be in a world of pain!" You'd think someone with a quote like that would have bite to match his bark, but nope. Giovanni was consistent in have water weak pokemon, as Ferry swept his whole team. Kangaskhan proved a little troublesome, but after Body Slam parahax it quickly went down. He mumbled something about how he'll be back, and then the Rockets fled. The President gave me a Master Ball for my troubles, and then I went along my way to the two gyms in the city. So, after healing up, I went into the fighting dojo where I let Dose Noses go to work on the Primeapes and Machokes. After beating the master's Hitmonchan and Hitmonlee, he gave me a prize; a choice of either pokemon. I chose ChuckNoris the Hitmonlee, and after teaching it Rock Tomb, Earthquake and Bulk Up, I went to conquer Sabrina's gym. And got lost in the freaking warp maze in the process. Of course I got to her room about 4 times trying to beat all the trainers in there but when I actually wanted to I wandered around for about 10 minutes trying to get to her. After finally getting to her, Snorlax showed that matter is greater than the mind, and after she(just noticed it's a girl btw) mopped up the entirety of her lineup and I got the Marsh Badge! I celebrated my victory by flying home and visiting my mom, and asked her if she had an idea where the 7th gym is. She said to surf to Cinnabar island, so I decided to go there after finishing resting. Spoiler [/HIDE] tl;dr version: I went to both Fuschia and Saffron city, completing them in their entirety. I got a Quiet Lapras(Ferry) and Impish Hitmonlee(ChuckNoris - damn full name didn't fit), and I'm probably going to do another double gym update. Actually, I'm gonna do the last 2 gyms and go all the way to the Elite 4 for my last update, and since I don't have internet where I am at the time of writing this, they'll probably get posted at the same time. Anyway, that's it for now. Here's my team and box now: Spoiler [/HIDE] The Adventures of Superman: The Blazing Riddler With my new 2 badges in hand, another Team Rocket plan thwarted and being fully rested after stopping home, I decided to take a break and visit the old museum in Pewter City. They had some nice exibits in there, but the real gem was to the side of the building. I took out Meow from the box to Cut down the tree that was blocking the path, and went in the side entrance. There were scientists discussing what things to put in the museum next, and I was able to talk to one who was holding an Old Amber. Intrigued, I asked about it and he asked if I could take it to the Pokemon Lab on Cinnabar Island. So I went on the water routes, fighting fishermen and Tentacool on the way, and I finally touched down on land. Now, I wanted to go straight to the gym, but it was locked. There was also a sign on the door that said to get the key from the mansion. Before I went in there, though, I revived Aerodactyl from the Old Amber and named it Superman, based on the infamous(I think it's well known anyway) ADV team. Now, before storming into the mansion to go on a fetch quest, I actually took about 15 minutes trying to find the Flash HM so I could go back into Rock Tunnel and teach Superman Rock Slide, which would prove to help out tremendously against Blaine later. So with new pokemon and move in hand, I went into the Pokemon Mansion, where Superman quickly grew from a newborn hatchling to a fierce pteradactyl, being able to 2HKO Growlithes that were 10 levels above him with his powerful Rock Slide. After encountering some switches, I was able to find the Secret Key, which granted me access into Blaine's gym, which after going to the pokemon center I decided to take it on with my underleveled Superman. Despite the level advantage the pokemon had(Superman was level 23 when I started the gym) we eventually came out on top in every battle, with a few close calls and forced switches every now and then. When we finally got to Blaine, I had to let Superman sit the battle out; Arcanine's powerful Fire Blast 2HKO it easily, and even did the same to my Lapras who was 9 levels lower than it. BROKENZARD saved the day though, eventually taking both Arcanine and Rapidash out, netting me the Volcano Badge! After the gym, Bill suddenly showed up and asked me if I wanted to go with him to the Sevii Islands. I took him up on his offer, and away we went! Since I don't have pictures for this part: Pokemon Party: BROKENZARD level 44(Charizard), Ferry level 39(Lapras), Superman level 31(Aerodactyl), Blitz level 40(Raichu), ChuckNoris level 38(Hitmonlee), Fat Albert level 44(Snorlax) Box is exactly the same, and just scroll up to my trainer card and imagine the Volcano Badge is there. The Sevii Islands So at One Island, Bill introduced me to his friend Celio, who is trying to link up the PC system on the Sevii Islands to the one in Kanto. However, he can't do this with his current tools, so of course I have to be an errand boy and deliver a Meteorite to a guy who can help fix the link to it on Two Island. So, I get to Two Island, go to the guy and...he's freaking out about some chick named Lostelle. So now I have to go to Three Island to find out what's taking her so long. He never gave me his excuse for not going himself, but whatever. So after getting on Three Island and talking to this guy who's trying to dig for gold, I come across this biker gang who's picking on the locals. Being the hero I am, I clobbered all of the biker's pokemon and then found out that Lostelle went to Bond Bridge. So after beating a few trainers I ended up at Bond Bridge with Lostelle being no where in sight. So I decided to go ahead into Berry Forest, and after kicking myself for not bringing Persian for cut I finally found Lostelle. However, she was being chased by a fucking Hypno of all things. If that doesn't solidify its position as a pedo I have no clue what does. After beating it, I took her back home, and gave the Meteorite to her dad who in turn gave me the Moon Stone. So, I went back to Bill and Celio and they had already finished hooking up the PC system, and we went back to Cinnabar. That was one trip I would have rather not taken, but it did give Superman some experience. So tl;dr of this part: I got Aerodactyl and named it Superman after the ADV team it's a part of. I then went through the mansion and Blaine's gym and got the Volcano Badge, almost soloing it with an Aerodactyl below level 30 and did the Sevii Islands event. So next time it's off to the final gym battle, and the entrance to the Indigo Plateau! I'M ON THE ROAD TO VIRIDIAN CITY~ After letting Superman, Ferry and BROKENZARD rest after their hard earned victory in the gym, I was kind of at a loss at where to go for the last gym. So, I thought of going to the entrance to Victory Road, thinking it might be there. So I flew home to catch up with my mom, and then headed up to Viridian City. Little did I know or expect that the Gym was open here, and it was booming with trainers! I quickly went in and noticed the same arrow puzzle from the Rocket Hideout in Celadon, and who would have guessed it, Giovanni was the final gym leader. He wanted to face off one final time, and this time he gave me a little more trouble than expected due to being under leveled. He should have kept his Kangaskhan though; don't know why the hell you would give that up. Anyway, he gave me the TM for Earthquake and the Earth Badge, which gives me access to the Indigo Plateau! So, I promptly healed up and went straight for the gates...and my rival was waiting for me. I prepared to beat his ass again...but his pokemon were noticeably higher leveled then mine. I had some very close calls with his Blastoise and Alakazam especially(Psychic crit on Fat Albert almost killed it since it was softened up by Exeggcute), and after he suggested I trained some more. Which is exactly what I did; I took some time to grind my pokemon to around level 50, and also grinded some money to get some of the stat increasing items like Proteins and Calciums to use on my team. After that, I went to Victory Road and started my treck through there. Fighting some powerful ace trainers with pretty impressive lineups, I gained some more levels for my pokemon and eventually got to the entrance of the Elite Four. Victory was right at my fingertips; I just had to survive the onslaught of the four and I would be the Champion! Eager to complete my journey, I went in to the building with my head held high, rested up my pokemon and bought some final supplies. The next update will be the last! So tl;dr of that is I beat Giovanni for the final time and got to the entrance of the Indigo Plateu, as well as grinded for about a collective two and a half hours to get my pokemon strong enough to stand a fighting chance against the final bosses. Not really much to say really. Here is the second to last team picture for this nuzlocke: Spoiler [/HIDE] Sweet, sweet victory So having stocked up on everything I needed and being informed that the Elite Four was a gauntlet so I couldn't rest in between battles, I went into the first room and battled Lorelei. CHUCKNORIS and Blitz took care of most of her team, but I sent in Ferry to take care of Jynx and it kept putting me to sleep with Lovely Kiss...and doing around 10 damage with ice punch. Needless to say, it was extremely annoying. Bruno however was much, much easier: since my Hitmonlee has a Bulk Up set, a couple boosts on Onix later I swept through his team. Poor guy is probably the easiest out of the gym leaders. Agatha was a little more annoying with here Gengars; they kept putting me to sleep and making my team hit themselves. Her Arbok also nearly killed Superman with Iron Tail, which would have ended my no death run. I didn't exactly breeze through it, but it was simple enough. Lance was a different story though. Although I KO'd his Gyarados with one hit and his Dragonite and Dragonair were easily beaten by Ferry+Fat Albert, his Aerodactyl was a different story. It got the Ancientpower boost when switching from Ferry to Blitz, so I had to play around it to get it paralyzed; only to find out it was still faster than everything. I didn't want to risk Superman getting killed by it, so I decided to bring CHUCKNORIS in to try and boost on it. A few lucky turns of full paras later, I 2HKO'd the boosted Aero with Rock Tomb. As I was relieving over the fact that the challenge was over, however, Lance told me someone had already beat me to the title of Champion. As I entered the final room, it was none other than Nick who greeted me. "Kyle, I've become the champion. You know what that means, right? I'm the strongest in the world!" And after exclaiming that, the final battle began. Blitz quickly shot down his Pidgeot with Thunderbolt, which made him retaliate by sending out Rhydon. I thought this thing was going to wreck me, but then remembered Ferry was faster. After KOing with Surf and living the EQ, he sent out Exeggutor...who was then roasted within a single hit by BROKENZARD's Fire Blast. Blastoise came storming out, and I retorted with ferry; all Blastoise could do was try to Bite while Tbolt from Ferry was a 2HKO. After Blastoise went down he sent out Alakazam; to counter it I sent Fat Albert to the field, and 2 Shadow Balls later it was down. Finally his Arcanine was called out, and Superman swiftly 2HKO'd. And with that, I was the new Champion of Kanto! Professor Oak himself came to congratulate me and induct my team into the Hall of Fame. Spoiler [/HIDE] And with that, this Nuzlocke is completed. I really enjoyed running through this game, and looking forward to the Emerald one that we're doing next. Also, this was a no death run by the way; the few number of pokemon in my box is due to me not trying to catch every first pokemon I ran in to.
Now that Oak doesn't care, I guess this concludes my Nuzlocke adventure as well. I started writing way too lengthy and if I don't quit it would take me ages to write out a whole Fire Red Nuzlocke therefore, I shall move on to Emerald and write shorter updates. I do not like to finish something and cut it off short also, I like the whole sharing your Nuzlocke with other people for shits and giggles so yes I'll migrate with the group.
I'm a bit sick atm, so I can't really describe my adventure so far. I'm just going to show my current team, boxed pokes, and deaths: Current Team: Scat Cat (Level 30 Persian) SubwayDiet (Level 31 Snorlax) Versatile (Level 30 Vaporeon) Maverick (Level 31 Pidgeotto) Dat Stache (Level 31 Kadabra) Weed Seed (Level 32 Venusaur) Boxed Pokemon: Ch'Ding (Level 6 Farfetch'd) Gnik (Level 10 Ekans) 4EverAlone (Level 17 Cubone) Grasshole (Level 13 Oddish) Date Rape (Level 18 Drowsee) Feel (Level 16 Voltorb) Low-Fat (Level 27 Butterfree) Meep Meep (Level 20 Doduo) Edward (Level 19 SHINY Zubat) Hardcore (Level 28 Graveler) Deaths: 1 Percent (Level 19 Ratata) - Pothead's Charmander WhackAMole (Level 26 Dugtrio) - Trainer's Graveler Liger (Level 21 Growlithe) - Trainer's Bellsprout By the way, are the evolutions to the newer gen pokemon still possible in FireRed, I wanted to make Edward the shiny Zubat become a Crobat after evolving from Golbat.
Ok guess I'm starting this challenge right now. I'm not good with stories so I'll just make up a quick summary. Chose charmander named BROKENzard (inspiration by pokemonnerd) Got a mankey, pidgey, and rattatta. Battled my rival, got through viridian forest. Beat Brock etc. Pictures: Spoiler Pidgey died by critical hit by another Pidgey.[/HIDE]
Ok im sorry for bumping a semi-dead thread but i just completed my Leaf Green run and had to post this (it took a lot of effort .-.). Beating Gary Spoiler [/HIDE] Hall of Fame Spoiler [/HIDE] Box Spoiler [/HIDE] Deaths Spoiler [/HIDE] Special mention goes to Broast the Lvl 84 Charizard who died to Gary's Blastoise's Hydro Pump under rain :( Also to Leviathan the Gyarados for Dragon Dance+Return sweeping the entire League :D (he was bought for $500 from the man in the Mt. Moon Pokemon Center >_>)
I used the spacebar and the Vs Seeker ;_;. I only had 3 usable pokemon (Charizard, Vaporeon and Gyarados) so something had to be overleveled......Also i have no life.
That reminds me of when I nuzlocked Blue. I just held the Spacebar, got a Pidgey, and after the first Gym I solo'd the rest of the game with it. (It 2HKO'd Rhydons with Double Edge!) I don't have any images since I was speeding through it, but I had a level 91 Pidgeot and a bunch of TM/HM slaves at the end. Including the spacebar, the whole run took about 4 hours. And yet I still got two deaths >_>
Hey New to this site lol Not sure if anyone is still on the forum but if there is someone I have a little bit of a dilemma, just started my first Nuzlocke (RANDOMIZED) that will be on YouTube soon, I'm 21 episodes in so far :D I caught a Magnemite and haven't had much training with it and came to a new route and ended up catching an Electabuzz... I know that they are both good, but which is better for a nuzlocke. Magnemite is weak to fire, ground and fighting, but is resistant to Normal, Flying, Rock, Bug, Ghost, Steel, Grass, Electric, Psychic, Ice, Dragon, Dark and takes normal damage to water only and is immune to poison. Electabuzz has better states and a better move pool but takes normal damage to Normal, Fighting, Poison, Rock, Bug, Ghost, Fire, Water, Grass, Psychic, Ice, Dragon, and Dark. He's only weak to ground but he's not immune to anything and he's Resistant to Flying, Steel, Electric. (All this info comes from bulbapedia) I'm thinking of going with Electabuzz but I'm not sure if that's the right move or not... :/ I just kind of want a second opinion from you guys/girls :) Not an expert with Pokemon but I've been playing it for a few years and know a few things. Thanks you!
I did this on emerald maybe I didn't follow the spirit of the game but after I got my quiet mudkip I didn't use another pokemon all game except hm slaves it was level 80 something when I easily beat the E4 with surf/ice beam/earthquake/strength nothing died and I never had any problems.
