I put my vote on Juggler's sprite for Woolf, I think it follows the concept (as he called it, retarded dog sent through a cotton-candy machine) the best. Also, more or less finished the stage one back and front sprites, I'll just edit this post in the future if I change it again:
My spriting weak point--shading. I've managed to make Turnling better though, most likely will fix Woolf's backsprite later and put it in this post, as well as Turling's backsprite. EDIT: Ok, done
May I reserve the Grass-Electric one? I had a nice idea, I will post the concept this evening maybe. I am not that good at spriting, so I think I will just post the complete concept then someone that is better than me will make the actual sprite, if this is ok for you. Also, you are not including Proboshin (aka Dicknose)? EDIT: No need to wait 'till this evening, my idea is here already. Name: (Pending, suggestions welcomed) Trait: Reckless Stats: 85 - 50 - 50 - 120 - 70 - 100 It would get ofc Wild Charge and Wood Hammer, plus many other special electric move, Leech Seed, and some coverage moves. Thoughts?
Please keep in mind that this is a hack of RSE (so the physical/special attacks are sorted by typing), which means that both Wild Charge and Wood Hammer would be special.
Oooooops. I will edit my post swapping attack and special attack then. Thanks :) EDIT: what you said basically means that many Gen 4 and above all Gen 5 mons will suck badly... One name: Darmanitan. Or maybe you are planning not to include them Gen 4/5 mons at all?
Well, we have all the pokemon we want to use noted already. Darmanitan is not one of them. Our goal was to make every single Pokemon viable, at least in-game, so we wouldn't even include Pokemon without a good STAB move.
Honestly, I'm not much for the execution of many of these, but I love the ideas of the pokes. @marche, did you save your woolf in .png format? You might want to go back and do that. Also, I guess I'd like to do the rock/poison fossil if I can find the time. Must say that I'm somewhat disappointed... neither gaia nor the spriting contest got nearly this much activity and they were on here much longer. I suppose that's the power of pnu/kokocult. Also, if anyone cares to read, this is a decent spriting guide for a beginner that might help with shading, etc. ._.
(17:20:56) Stofil: is koko cult the official scapegoat of people's projects going better when they're linked to PNU now? It's not our fault our tiny community is awesome :p. Also, I might start trying to get into spriting myself, although being colorblind is a bitch in that regard. Thanks for the guide.
Nah. Pichi's already made 2/3 of the evolution line for the grass/ghost starter. Although it would fit either one.
Added MirageBoys Kingler evo to the OP. With the other sprites, they should be of a better quality. Also, at the moment they don't really look very Pokemon-esque. Any further contributions would be awesome.
I unclaim the magikarp-ish pokemon. I'm really busy these weeks, and dunno if I'll get the time to do them right (but when I do, if no one else has done them I probably will). Yeah, I did save woolf in png. It's either tinypic or that the sprite is clustered. Also Stofil said he was helping with the woolf backsprite, I think...
I'm interested in the alternate Haunter evolution. How would that alternate take place (That might be crucial to design)?
Haunter evolves into the alternate evolution by a Moon Stone. Although I don't think it'll be that critical, looking at what Nidorino and Nidorina's evolutions look like :p
