    Introduction
Well, 2 weeks ago, smogon server broke down, so I decided to play for a bit in po server. I didn't know what tier to play because I felt so bored, finally, when looking at usage stats, I saw that meloetta had only 1% of usage in DW UU tier. That's fucking unacceptable! So i came up making a team using meloetta. It's also one of the, if not the most, solid teams i have made ever. I have also won a DW UU Shanai tournament with this team. I have reached to the first spot under my alt LordKiwi (yeah lol), getting a 1457 points rate. Anyways, I have felt that in the last days the DW UU ladder has been more active, and that's good because the tier was dead some weeks ago. With further adieu, here's my team!

    Teambuilding process
    [IMG][IMG][IMG]
Obviously I started with meloetta. I also feel like adding a pokemon to wall the common physical threats in the tier (like darmanitan) and another to set up stealth rock will be nice. So there are my 3 first pokemon.
    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

The I needed another check to sand sweepers and a pokemon to tank special hits, so I added umbreon and bronzong. I also needed some kind of revenge killer, so heracross joined the crew. I changed stealth rock from metagross and give it to Bronzong.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

While umbreon tanked hits decently, it was set up bait for a lot of pokemon, and it also opened even more my weakness to bug types, so I replaced it with snorlax. Also, I needed some way to remove toxic spikes, which were very threatening to my team, as well as having a solid check to heracross and escavalier, so Nidoqueen filled heracross's spot.

    [IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG][IMG]

Finally, I decided to replace nidoqueen with hitmontop, to patch up my weakness to dark-type sweepers like Krookodile or zoroark. Also getting rid of entry hazards was a bonus to adding hitmontop in the place of Nidoqueen.[/HIDE]

    In Depth
    [IMG]
[IMG] Mossdeep (Metagross) @ Choice Band
    Trait: Clear Body
    EVs: 88 HP / 252 Atk / 168 Spd
    Adamant Nature (+Atk, -SAtk)
    - Meteor Mash
    - Earthquake
    - Trick
    - Bullet Punch

    • Why this pokemon?:
Metagross is a very important pokemon in my team, if not the most. It gives raw power to spam, a priority move to revenge kill, as well as trick to cripple bulky sweepers like CroCune or CurseLax. It also beats most spikes stacking leads, like Roserade or Crustle. Meteor Mash is a powerful STAB attack, while Earthquake gives good coverage along it. Bullet punch allow me to revenge kill sub-pinch berry's users as well as other weakened pokemon. Trick is for crippling walls/set up sweepers. The name comes from Mossdeep city, the place in hoenn where you get Beldum :)
    • Ev's and Nature:
Max Attack and Adamant give him power. The ev's allow me to outspeed uninvested 90 base pokemon such as bulky roserade.
    • Other options:
I could use pursuit, but i don't seem it very useful in this metagame.
    [IMG] Karen (Meloetta) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Serene Grace
    EVs: 252 HP / 140 Def / 116 Spd
    Modest Nature (+SAtk, -Atk)
    - Substitute
    - Calm Mind
    - Psychic
    - Thunderbolt

    • Why this pokemon?:
She's the main reason to create this team, simply. It has awesome stats and a decent movepool for coverage. She also checks many pokemon, like Sigilyph, Suicune or Clefable to name a few. The set is custom, as neither the evs nor the moves are the standard of the web. I see this set very useful because it avoids status and also make her difficult to revenge kill. Thunderbolt helps in beating suicune and sigilyph. Her name comes of the girl from the Fairytale ''The Red Shoes'' of Christian Andersen, because meloetta is based in part in this tale.
    • Ev's and Nature:
The ev's allow me to outspeed max speed abomasnow and empoleon, as well as outspeeding standard Sigilyph. They also give 101 Hp substitutes, which are very useful again registeel and Seismic toss users. The rest are invested in bulk. Modest nature allow meloetta to reach 321 Spatk UNINVESTED, its awesome.
    • Other options:
I could use another nature, or Shadow Ball/Focus Blast for extra coverage, but then beating suicune and sigilyph will be harder and i don't like that.
    [IMG] Tobybro (Slowbro) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Regenerator
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
    Bold Nature (+Def, -Atk)
    - Slack Off
    - Scald
    - Psyshock
    - Calm Mind
    • Why this pokemon?:
Slowbro is one of the best pokemon in this metagame, and for a good reason. It checks a lot of physical sweepers, and it can even set up to try to pull a sweep. Calm mind help walling special/mixed attackers as well as giving power. It's called tobybro due to the 1st generation set tobybro xD
    • Ev's and Nature:
      Standard for maximum bulk
    • Other options:
I could use toxic or something, but the set has worked to me fine like that. Also psychic to deal with bulk up users.
    [IMG] Kapoerer (Hitmontop) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Intimidate
    EVs: 252 HP / 252 Def / 4 SDef
    Impish Nature (+Def, -SAtk)
    - Aerial Ace
    - Rapid Spin
    - Close Combat
    - Mach Punch

    • Why this pokemon?:
I needed a way to remove hazards, as well as checking bug and dark type sweepers like heracross and krookodile, so hitmontop fitted perfectly. Aerial Ace helps me with Virizion and heracross, close combat is stab and mach punch for revenge killing dark-types mainly. Kapoerer is the name in japanese.
    • Ev's and Nature:
Max physical bulk. If anyone has a better spread i will be glad to use it
    • Other options:
I could use another priority move or something over aerial ace, but then I will be open to heracross.
    [IMG] Shinjoh (Bronzong) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Levitate
    EVs: 252 HP / 48 Def / 208 SDef
    Sassy Nature (+SDef, -Spd)
    - Toxic
    - Gyro Ball
    - Earthquake
    - Stealth Rock

    • Why this pokemon?:
Bronzong is my 2nd check to sand sweepers, after slowbro. It also checks special sweepers like raikou, and it set ups the always important stealth rock. It's a very underrated pokemon in the tier. Earthquake and Gyro Ball have high base power and let me hit a long arrange of foes. Shinjoh is the name of the ruins you find in HG/SS which are snowy and you can get some legendaries there lol.
    • Ev's and Nature:
Max Hp for tanking, and the evs are thrown to have good special bulk as well to being able to take physical attacks.
    • Other options:
I could use more def ev's but i'm not sure.

    [IMG] FreeHugs!(Snorlax) @ Leftovers
    Trait: Thick Fat
    EVs: 144 HP / 112 Atk / 252 SDef
    Careful Nature (+SDef, -SAtk)
    - Body Slam
    - Crunch
    - Rest
    - Sleep Talk

    • Why this pokemon?:
Snorlax is my special wall. It stops almost every special attacker in the tier, and it also hits hard back. I choose this set to handle better ghost types, and because i don't like the whirlwind set :P I named him FreeHugs!, because he is lovely haha
    • Ev's and Nature:
They give him a leftovers number, as well as maxing special bulk. The rest are thrown into attack.
    • Other options:
I don't know if using more Hp evs to increase bulk, it could be useful, though.

    Threat List
I have just pick the usage stats list and put the 50 first pokemon or so in usage order. Yellow are hard threats. Red are extremely difficult threats.
    • Donphan- Bronzong wall hims all day long. Slowbro set ups if it doesn't have toxic.
    • Darmanitan- Slowbro stops it whatever he does. Metagross can revenge belly drum.
    • Hitmontop- Slowbro, Hitmontop, Metagross, and meloetta sets up if they I can predict Sucker Punch.
    • Arcanine- Slowbro offensive versions. Snorlax handles toxic ones.
    • Slowbro- Snorlax, Meloetta if they use CM.
    • Metagross- Slowbro and bronzong wall hims all day long.
    • Heracross- Hitmontop, I can try the burn with slowbro since all of them are moxie scarf.
    • Yanmega- Snorlax, Bronzong can take on it.
    • Golurk- Is this so common? Only have seen once o.o No Guard is annoying but slowbro and bronzong beat him if i don't get horribly haxed.
    • Hippowdon- Bronzong and slowbro don't care about anything. Sand is annoying.
    • Abomasnow- Metagross, Bronzong, Hitmontop. I have never seen it, all the ladder is SAND SAND SAND.
    • Roserade- Metagross, Bronzong, Snorlax. I usually try to absorb sleep or something.
    • Mismagius- Meloetta set ups on her. Metagross and snorlax do a fine job
    • Jolteon- Meloetta sets up except if its specsed. Snorlax walls him.
    • Suicune- Depend of the set, if is not using roar meloetta. Roar versions are tricked, toxiced or walled by snorlax
    • Zoroark- Hitmontop. Snorlax does Ok against special versions.
    • Nidoking- Snorlax and meloetta stops him.
    • Milotic- Snorlax. Bronzong can toxic it. If its restalker meloetta set ups.
    • Victini- Special/mixed versions are walled by snorlax. Physical slowbro.
    • Mienshao- Slowbro, Hitmontop.
    • Togekiss- Snorlax, Metagross, Meloetta (paralisis grrr), Bronzong. Annoying but not a problem.
    • Raikou- Bronzong and Snorlax stops it.
    • Galvantula- Annoying,, snorlax deals well with it.
    • Empoleon- SubSalac is stupidly powerful. Snorlax can take on it and then i proceed to revenge kill if snorlax deads.
    • Sigilyph- This thing is shitty ***. Meloetta handles it without whirlwind (i absorb status with snorlax, then switch to meloetta). TrickMetagross for whirlwind ones.
    • Feraligatr- I play with intimidate and slowbro to wall him. If i can burn then its not a problem anymore.
    • Hitmonlee- Slowbro and hitmontop stops him well
    • Krookodile- Hitmontop and bronzong leave him no choice.
    • Houndoom- Hitmontop and snorlax handle all versions.
    • Honchkrow- This is pretty tricky :S Metagross usually handles it, is dangerous though.
    • Flygon- Bronzong and slowbro stops him cold.
    • Sharpedo- Hitmontop stops physical versions and revenge kill mixed ones. Mixed is handled by snorlax too.
    • Aerodactyl- Slowbro, Bronzong, Hitmontop, Metagross.... Not a threat at all.
    • Ambipom- Slowbro and Hitmontop stops that all day long. Bronzong and metagross don't fear much too.
    • Bronzong- I try to absorb toxic with Lax, then switch to meloetta and set up.
    • Celebi- Metagross and Snorlax stop every version. Baton pass is just annoying.
    • Bisharp- Metagross and Hitmontop are good checks to this. But never give a chance of set up, if it switches into slowbro scalds him to death, is better than giving a substitute.
    • Stoutland- Slowbro, Metagross and Bronzong can stop it. Retaliate Choice Band its a problem :S
    • Sandslash- Slowbro and Bronzong. Don't let a chance of set up ever.
    • Clefable- Depend of the version, if meloetta can set up a free sub then Meloetta wins always.
    • Sceptile- Snorlax stops special sweeper decently. Swords dancer and subseeder are handled by metagross, bronzong and hitmontop. Subseeder is annoying.
    • Dusclops- I absorb the burn and then switch to meloetta to set up sub.
    • Porygon2- Snorlax, Bronzong, Metagross and Meloetta handles him well.
    • Gastrodon- Snorlax, Bronzong, Meloetta set up on him, never seen one though.
    • Rotom- Snorlax is good, Bronzong and Meloetta can shrug anything.
    • Rotom-F- Snorlax, Metagross and Bronzong are my best bets. Annoying because it always comes along hail
    • Ludicolo: Its difficult to handle because of his insane power under the rain. Snorlax is good against any non subseeder. Subseeder's are handled by meloetta.
    • Cinccino- Bronzong, Hitmontop, Metagross, Slowbro... Hits pretty weak, but critical ratio is quite annoying.
    • Weavile- Hitmontop, Metagross and Bronzong are so hard counters. Anyways I think he deserves more usage.
    • Registeel- Metagross handles everything. Is set up fodder for meloetta unless it uses curse. Set up fodder to slowbro if lacks toxic.
    • Cresselia- Metagross, Bronzong can toxic non-substitute ones. Snorlax can wall her unless psyshock. Slowbro handles non-toxic ones.
    • Rotom-H - Snorlax handles it perfectly. I don't understand why it's so low in the usage stats.
    • Porygon-Z - Its damn powerful :( Snorlax can take 1-2 hits always. Metagross and Hitmontop revenge kill.
    • Snorlax - Lol, so less used O.O Metagross counters curselax. Slowbro handles non-cursing Lax. Bronzong toxic's if it lacks rest.
    • Deoxys-D - Can be annoying, but is set up fodder for meloetta. Metagross does fine too.
    • Virizion - It's difficult to handle, hitmontop and bronzong are my best bets. If i can calm mind with slowbro in the switch I can survive anything with 50% moreless and OHKO with psyshock.
    • Electivire- Hitmontop, Bronzong and metagross stops him cold.
    • Alomomola- Snorlax walls it all day. Meloetta sets up if it can avoid toxic.
    • Uxie- Snorlax, Metagross, Bronzong... Easy to handle.
    • Crobat- Metagross and Bronzong give no room to do nothing. Np versions are stopped by snorlax.
    • Torterra- Bronzong stops it cold. Is slow so is not much kind of a threat.
    • Durant- Hell, this is so powerful :$ Hitmontop and metagross can make a try but it hits like a truck.
    • Quagsire- U mad bro? Curse quagsire is stopped by toxic or metagross. I can burn with slowbro too.
    • Meloetta- Bronzong, Metagross and Snorlax handled every version.
    • Blastoise- Just annoying. If i can set up a sub with meloetta it cannot touch me (unless roar). I just hit it hard and wait, it will day. Toxic helps a lot.
    • Typhlosion- Snorlax stops him all day long.
    • Gallade- It stands no chance against slowbro.
    • Amoonguss- Annoying spore. Absorb sleep with snorlax. Annihilate with meloetta or metagross.
    • Escavalier- Hitmontop walls it. Can be dangerous. Metagross handles well too.
    • Gigalith- All of them are leads with custap berry. I usually switch to bronzong or slowbro ton handle it.
    • Tangrowth- Can be annoying... Toxic destroys it, as well as burn. Meloetta sets up if it lacks power whip or is burned.
    • Azumarill- Slowbro wall anything.
    • Hitmonchan- Slowbro and Hitmontop stops him cold.
    • Nidoqueen- Toxic spikes get spinned. Bronzong, Snorlax and slowbro beat it easily.
    • Weezing- If i can get a sub with meloetta is not a problem anymore. Without toxic slowbro sets up.
    • Cobalion- Slowbro and hitmontop threatens him.
    • Magnezone- Can be a pain if it traps my metagross in Meteor Mash. Otherwise i handle with bronzong... Is kinda hard to beat.
    • Steelix- Slowbro and Bronzong use it as set up bait.

I'm retiring this team, since I won't probably play this tier again for a long time, but maybe I will use it for tours. Since I like the team a lot, I will adapt it when meloetta gets released.
Thanks to everybody for reading and rating the team.
Special thanks to Eon Sky for being so stronf, to SuperPoisonFreak because he loves meloetta too, and finally to Eeveeto because I like talking with him about tiers and so xd
I also encourage everybody to use meloetta, a really underrated pokemon >.>

Cool team dude, dont know much of this tier but it seems a solid team. I like teams bulkys <3

You should instead use Toxic over Aerial Ace in Hitmontop. Toxic in Hitmontop and Zong, should work very well with SubCM Meloetta, CM Slowbro and Restalker Snorlax.

    Thanks for the rate :)

Yes, toxic hitmontop sounds interesting, to toxic bulky waters and ghosts in the switch.

I'll also add a thread list when i have time.

Not bad, but I suggest you remove Metagross, because Metagross is easily killed by Sandslash in sand which is very common and Nidoking, since you don't have Agility/Rock Polish, Nidoking can Earth Power it.

Replace Metagross with Nidoking, because if you notice Bronzong and Nidoking are a very good combination, + It can support your Slowbro by having an electric immunity.

Also replace Hitmontop's Aerial Ace with either Bullet Punch or Toxic.

Bronzong doesn't really need defense EVs, give it full attack, then it will be able to knock out many Pokemon in one hit.

    So yeah, nice team! :D

Ok, sounds interesting, I will try this changes to see how them work in the ladder and so. I'm not so sure about max attack bronzong, I will made calculations to see how much attack I need to get the important ko'es (mostly sandlash, raikou and some other stuff). The problem about replacing metagross is losing trick, which helps a lot against curselax, crocune and a gimmicky sub/cm/roar/scald suicune I saw yesterday, and with clefable and sigilyph (with whirlwind, CrashingBoomBang beat me when i wasn't using trick with whirlwind sigilyph :(, since any other sigilyph is easily beated by meloetta)

Also, I'm planning to use this team in standard Wifi UU ladder, because they are pretty similar. I think raikou can fit meloetta's spot decently, any thoughts?

Excelent team but i would suggest choice specs on slowbro although it would have to switch too much. Try to get 1 in wifi UU now , but raikou won,t help you against things like band stoutland which is very common threat in that tier ( actually only metagross and MAYBE slowbro can beat it ).

Stoutland actually is not a very difficult threat because I use pretty much 3 of his best counters (metagross, slowbro, bronzong), and even hitmontop can make a try. However, Retaliate Choice Banded Stoutland hurts a lot, 2HKOing bronzong and hitmontop and dealing 55% to slowbro, so yeah this hurts a lot... Anyways I think i can handle him well. I have been considering changing bronzong evs to stop better stoutland and sandslash, if somebody can give me an ev spread to beat them easier i will be glad to use it.

Specs slowbro is cool and it could be nice but I just prefer the currently set because it handles better arcanine, stoutland and other opponents. Calm Mind also allow me to beat easily virizion, who thinks it can switch in while I calm mind but they get OHKOed

Also, after thinking for a time, I definitely keep metagross in the team, because without him, snorlax and cradily will probably 6-0 me. It's certainly a shame because I love nidoking but... that's it

Why does Meloetta have a modest nature? Bad decision considering you didn't even invest in spA.

It has a modest nature because it's better to run a modest nature (gives 321 spatk) than investing evs in spatk and giving another nature, I mean, you get more stat points using this. Anyways, like I said in meloetta's other options I'm thinking about changing it to calm nature (to take special hits better) or something, because the boost with +Def nature is not so good, though.

If changing the nature helps me setting up a sub against X important pokemon then I will change it inmediately, I will made calculations about things like slowbro, magnezone or raikou to see if another nature really deserves a mention.

Also, modest nature allows meloetta to 2HKO standard sigilyph (factoring both have the same amount of boosts), and that's really important.

Threat List completed :) How a long job, it was quite repetitive at the end.
