Simple enough, just type the 5 programs on your computer you use the most (As well as why if you feel like it) in order from most to least. 1. Adobe Photoshop (I do all my designing in it, and designing is 90% of my time spent on the comp) 2. Aurora (All my web browsing, and it's an amazing browser) 3. Intype (HTML/CSS/PHP work, an awesome editor with syntax highlighting) 4. Pokemon Online (Sucks it's so far down the list, but even when I don't have internet I have all the others open [Xampp to view .php offline with Aurora and work on things]. Anyways, obv why it's here. xD) 5. Filezilla (To easily transfer my stuff through ftp when I get finished working on it)
#1. Mozilla Firefox (My main browser, Google Chrome lags a lot on my PC) #2. Pokemon Online #3. VLC Media Player (I use it to watch Movies and TV Shows) #4. GIMP #5. Windows Live Messenger
Mozilla Firefox. Awesome web browser. Not the fastest, but Firefox Sync is so far the best I have used. Having your browsing history shared with all your computers is awesome. Dropbox. A little utility which automatically syncs a folder from your computer into network. Having your important files on all your computers is awesome. If anyone wants to, I wouldn't mind if you made your account from this link. Terminal. Not really a program on its own, but a gateway to unix world under Mac OSX. zsh is the most important program under Terminal, it's used to launch other applications. vim is my favorite text editor, used from terminal. My other favourite terminal applications include ssh (connect to remote computer), irssi (IRC program), Python (dynamic general use programming language), octave (programming language for techical computing), file utilities, git (program to manage program sources), gcc (compiler for C, C++, fortran and others). Steam. Digital gaming platform. I own tons of games, playable on Windows, some on Mac. Preview. The utility on OSX to display all the .PDFs and image files. This has always dozens of files open. Other applications I use: Adium for IM, TexShop for LaTeX editing, Spotify for music, VLC for occasional videos, Google Chrome and Safari for alternate browsing, Sparrow for email reading... and Pokemon-Online too I guess.
sudo, ls, grep ... Opera - Web Browser Not really known worldwide, but one of the most popular in CIS. Pidgin - Multi Protocol IM messenger. I use it mostly for XMPP and for other IM systems (ICQ, MSN, IRC) to keep in touch with my friends without having multiple different clients running. Geany - Text Editor mpd & mpc - Music play daemon and its client Really convinient way to listen music: Daemon is always launched taking almost no resources. Sometimes I also use it to listen to my music library from remote places. See wiki if you don't mind Jimmy's begging. Terminator - Terminal emulator Some utilities: Thunar / VLC / OO.org / Python / etc... Pretty sure all the list will be pretty similiar.
I use Cygwin for my Terminal emulation, and Python would be at the top somewhere as well. Potplayer would be on there as well, it's got the most codecs out of any media player I've ever used, and lots of masks you can apply to things. Anyways, here's the links for my programs: Aurora: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/aurora/ Intype: http://twitter.com/#!/intype (Scroll down a few tweets for the download link) Cygwin: http://www.cygwin.com/ Potplayer: http://codecpack.co/download/PotPlayer.html
Ubuntu: Google Chrome - The web browser I use. Dropbox - *copyfromlamperi* A little utility which automatically syncs a folder from your computer into network. Having your important files on all your computers is awesome. If anyone wants to, I wouldn't mind if you made your account from this link. Guake Terminal - Awesome terminal emulator Pokemon Online - The simulator Qt Creator - Framework with what PO is developed Windows: Steam - *copyfromlamperi* Digital gaming platform. Team Fortress 2 - Awesome game, the only reason I boot to Windows sometimes. Pokemon Online - The simulator ^ I don't use others with Windows, I only use it to play TF2
Google Chrome - my web browser of choice. TweetDeck - i use this instead of the web-based twitter cos it's prettier, nicer to use, customiseable and just better in basically every way. Pokemon Online - y'all know what this is. iTunes - the least shitty music player i know. FL Studio 10 - music software. i probably keep this thing open the most, but use it the least of these 5. i'm perpetually making beats and sounds. i'd work with better stuff but i have a laptop that just can't support anything more complex, music-wise >.>
Internet Explorer - not really web browser fo choice, my compute just came with it, and I have no problems. iTunes - La Musique PO Skype Audacity
1) Mozilla Firefox - Main browser. 2) Pokemon Online - Obviously. --I don't use my other programs as often other than the aforementioned two-- 3) Skype - I need more people to chat with .-. 4) Google Chrome - Always good to have a back-up browser, but that's my opinion. 5) Dream of Mirror Online - Without going into too much detail, it's an MMO.
1. Google Chrome. Gotta have that net somehow. 2. Microsoft Word. Still a student, and it's cheaper for teachers to tell us to print out their stuff than print it out themselves. 3. Emerald ROM. For fun. :D 4. Pokemon Online. For somewhat less fun, which is why I go on it less. 5. And...that's it, actually. I don't do that much on my comp. Sometimes I go on Excel or the like but those are so negligible that I figure there's no point mentioning it.
1. Safari - main browser, surprise 2. PO - another surprise. 3. iTunes - it is rare that im not listening to music 4. Word - too much homework. 5. Skype - i have no idea how this thing ended up so high, but i guess i don't use anything else lol
Please explain any software which is previously unmentioned, ie. Blackshot, Terraria. That way we can try to keep this thread at least somewhat interesting. Also, koko's a macfag?
Mozilla Firefox - Dem add-ons. Pokemon Online - Was it any surprise? Notepad - Seriously, I jot down so much shit, both for PO or not. I recently had to clear out my folder of Notepad documents, because it had reached 700. After clearing them out, I was left with ~150. I'm a forgetful sod. ~~~~MASSIVE VOID~~~~ Calculator - I'm a lazy fuck. I pretty much only use it for Pokemon stat calculations. Seriously, most of my time on my laptop is spent on the above three programs. Skype - ...and I pretty much only use Skype to chat to PO people and record stuff for the YouTube channel. Yeah. Honourable mention goes to number 6 - MP3 Skype Recorder. Yeah, I don't do much with programs on my laptop. I spend an awful amount of time on YouTube though.
1. Google Chrome 2. Skype 3. Pokemon Online 4. Wordpad (or sometimes Microsoft Word or Notepad) - Like Oak, I need something to jot down information most of the times. I write a lot of stuff. Wordpad is just faster to load and shit so I use it more often than Microsoft Word. 5. Corel VideoStudio Pro - Video editing software. I really like how simple it is to use it.
- Chrome: Favorite web browser etc. - PO: Open a hell of a lot, even if I'm afk or just doing something else. - Itunes: Pretty much always listening to music - Skype: Cuz skype. - BlueJ: Java editing software. Java and this programme are pretty terrible tbh, but all the work I've gotta do is in that, so not much to be done really lol. Open a lot just so I can make small code changes when I think of anything.
1. Google Chrome 2. iTunes 3. BitTorrent (I'm a thief, so sue me) 4. Pokemon Online 5. Adobe Photoshop (I draw when I'm bored)
1) Google Chrome- It just looks feels and works great. I used to use Firefox but I find Chrome to work a lot faster. 2) Pokemon Online - Mainly to chat. BS HAX ----------------------Can I stop at 2?------------------------------ 3) Windows Media Player - Never really gave iTunes a shot. I'm to lazy. Most of my Music is portable anyways. 4) Msn - Anything after no.1 and 2 above I rarely use anyway. This is one is to talk to people not on PO or Facebook. 5) Calculator - For random calculating stuff... My list is boring. The internet has Facebook, Manga, Youtube, Amazon, Gaming sites etc etc. Then again i'm only on the comp when I'm not playing my Xbox 360. That's my main entertainment.
1) Google Chrome - GOOGLE > YOU. 2) My Computer................ '-' 3) Pokemon Online. 4) WinRar. 5) Real Player.
1)Google Chrome Duh 2) Pokemon-Online 3) U-torrent(idk how to type the symbol)--use it to download anime/movies/Tv serials 4) VLC Player(lol)--Play the anime/serial I downloaded O.o 5) RPG Maker XP--Used to make Pokemon fan games.
1.) Songbird 2.) Chrome 3.) Adobe Photoshop CS5 4.) Adobe Flash CS4 5.) Battlefield 3 (Addicted atm) Yes, PO isn't on my top 5.
1) Opera: Best web browser I've ever used 2) iTunes: Simply to well organize my music 3) Skype: I just don't know why... 4) Portal: the first one, I've been playing it a lot, I'm planning on getting the second 5) Microsoft Reader: I love reading, but in my country...you don't find many good books.
1. Mozilla Firefox - Obvious browser is obvious 2. Pokemon Online - Duh :p 3. iTunes - Organize + add music to my iPod. 4. Skype - Talk to people. 5. Camtasia Studio - Video editing software.
Google Chrome Skype Notepad Minecraft Sony Vegas 8 Whenever I'm not on the comp I'm usually playing Xbox 360, or walking outside.
1. Google Chrome 2. Minecraft 3. Pokemon Online 4. Game Booster 5. Counter Strike Online Literally all game-related. I need a life ;_;
1) Chrome 2) PO 3) MSN 4) Steam...so.. TF2 5) I have Skype on but I don't use it... so... probably MS Word cuz homework
